what is the precision x server for??

It is a list of apps/software for the On Screen Display to ignore and blocks it's function on them. OSD can cause some apps/software instability problems so programs can be put on this list to stop OSD from running on them.

This is correct. I was talking about the OSD itself.

I have it activated and the only thing i can see change is that px1s version number is now shown on every movie i watch in the upper left corner....
No FPS in games at all...
 
Is it normal that no manual is provided for new cards?

I suppose so? I didn't get a physical manual with my card but I did find a generalized PDF EVGA Graphics Manual under SERVICE > Product Info. > Product Manuals
 
If you want to learn about GPUs you will need to you own research I guess. That's just what I had to do plus some of my own intuition.
 
EVGA also maintains a YouTube channel TEAMEVGA where lingo and some information can be fond here and there.

Total PIA for people that want to know how to get da*n thing to stop coming up. I  mistakenly took the advice of some YT "genius " and hit Default. Now the sever is on all the time and I don't want to see it. No patience for taking advice from those who cannot communicate complete thoughts.

Thx, Sajin, for the prompt response. I did rename the file as I read, but will delete it if that is ok. Really liking your Hybrid card, btw. An idea that was long coming, but is the best solution for heat dissipation, short of liquid Nitrogen, and none of us want to get that on us! Best.

this anser is wayyy late but you could also just unselect OSD in the precision GUI on the lefthand side, it auto quits the precision server since having that selected is what starts the server,exe in the first place, then you wont have to manually do that everytime

So, In the list of apps the Precision server displays, are these the ones to NOT run the OSD on, or TO RUN the OSD?
SO if want a specific game to display the OSD should I put it in the list, or take it off the list?

First question: A list of programs to not run On Screen Display.
Second question: If a specific game that is on the list that you want On Screen Display to work on with take it off.
