Yes, as a second hand owner then which gives you three years from the time the card was SHIPPED from the warehouse. You need to register the card to find that out though. Of course, this is if your in the US... other countrys rules are a little different with evga.

No, all 20 and 16 series cards REQUIRE an invoice for warranty. You MUST provide proof of purchase no matter how you acquired the card for warranty service.

Really?!!? Even if your the second owner?!? What does that aim to stop or behavior to curb? Is that to track the cards life from person to person?

I think what they might be getting at is making sure it's not stolen or w/e. So I guess it would still be ok if you showed a transaction of some sort buying it used.

I sell my used cards on Craigslist. Also buy used ones occasionally. What do you recommend I do when getting proof of purchase or giving it to my buyers? I know with eBay you have a PayPal invoice but these are cash transactions done in person. Could I just type up a simple invoice, print it up and have both parties sign it.:)

That should work. Just make sure you get the serial number and part number noted, and that should be good. I am on my phone right now, but there is a thread and a set of guidelines to show what all is necessary. I will see if I can find it and link it over.
