Hello Everyone,

This is my first post in these forums and I'm making this post just help anyone else who has just bought a 560 Ti and is wondering about the temps.
I called Evga Tech Support and found out the max operating temp for the 560 Ti is 99 degrees Celsius.

If your like me as soon as I got my card installed tonight I started stress testing it with Evga OC Scanner and went into a panic when I saw temps climb above 80 and shut down the test. But I guess theres still plenty of headroom to go which is amazingly hot in my opinion, but maybe that's just me.

Well just thought I'd post this in case anyone else is wondering about this.

Make yourself a fan profile using evga precision. It will work wonders for your temperatures. The stock auto setting rally doesn't do the temps justice

my bottom card will stay at 81c when folding(voltage @1.150 oc'd to 1020/2400) i just suck it up and keep the fan on 100% and i never see the temps get any higher.

Yeah as was said do a custom fan profile either using Precision or MSI's Afterburner. Both I believe are made by the same person. If you not sure how to do this Read Below.

Step One: Click Settings (this is using Afterburner)

Next hit the Fan tab and Click the check box to enable user defined software automatic fan controller.

From there you can adjust fan speed % to match rpm's. What I have now keeps my GTX 570's at about 71 while folding (top card) and about 10c or so less for the bottom card. Of course your cards are different so a different profile may be needed for you. Good luck and enjoy your card :)

I have my fan speeds at auto adjust so when I'm in games it will jump up to 50%. I don't see temps go past 80 when in full load with this option enabled. But my room does get really warm when I game for hours at end.

Thank You for the advice - all of you!,
I did set up a fan profile, I was actually just testing to see when the fans would spin up and how fast and what the temps would be. I did not mean to come off as complaining.

I posted the info just so the info could be found since I could not find a definable answer on Google. With a higher fan profile I was able to stress test the GPU at 90% with temp never breaking 54c (idle 31c @ 30% fan), however I do think the fan noise at 80% and above is....high pitched? Irritating? not sure how do describe it, it is louder than the Gigabyte 6850 it's replacing of course it's benches 2x the score as that card did as well. And I seriously doubt with the power this has that I'll be maxing out the GPU in normal use or even gaming anytime soon, but I have yet to test the card in any demanding game yet. I did run Stalker COP for awhile last night and it barely touched the card, but it will be sometime next month when my I get my new monitor before I'll even try the one I'm using as I type is my old faithful FPD1530 (7yrs old now). Which is obviously a bottleneck when comparing FPS, color...anything really.

Again thank you all for taking the time to reply and the advice (amazing community here) I do appreciate it.

In matter of fact I've looking for days a post like this since I was really concern about the video card temps and noise. I am actually getting temps about 80 - 85 degrees Celsius in which at the begging it scares me like hell, now after reading this post I feel more confident and in some how relax. So it's normal that the GTX 560 ti get high temperatures on work loads or gaming? Now I jumped from a non noise GTX 260 1.8Gbs GPU compare to the GTX 560 Ti Maximum Edition which is making a loud buzzing noise during load that is audible over every other component. Is this also normal? How by creating a profile using evga precision will fix this? I will give a try later.

    Thanks everyone.

I'll post a pic of the fan profile I created when I get home.  It works pretty well (60% at 70C at full load usually) and isn't too noisy.

Ok, here's the profile I'm using on a stock 560 Ti FPB.  Works pretty good considering my current case cooling issues.

Thanks it seems to be working better now. It's really amazing how hot GTX560 can go.

Thanks it seems to be working better now. It's really amazing how hot GTX560 can go.

I've learned it's definitely down to case cooling especially since it dumps some hot air back into the case.  I pulled the side off my case last night while the gpu and cpu were hours into folding and cpu dropped from 55 to 52c, the gpu dropped from 75 to 70 both within a matter of about 2 minutes.

Mine runs at 15-20C idle and 71C when folding or gaming, fan speed is 10-20% and 30-40% respectively. All of this on air.

15c idle, your ambient must be something like 5c?
