I posted this in the wrong forum at first but hope this is the right place now.

Hi,
I have searched for some way to save the old bios prior to updating with the new  NF78_P10 but can't find any way to do it. MOBO is 780i SLI with a v6.00PG bios. I recently upgraded to win7 x64 from xp x32 and am having a few hangs so I thougt that maybe the upgrade could help. The only NVIDIA software I have on the machine was put there by windows update. A control panel for ethernet settings. So, how to save the old bios?

Get NVIDIA System Tools and install only the "NVIDIA System Update utility"..That will add the "Update your System BIOS" feature to the NVIDIA Control Panel which will give you an option to save your current BIOS..Don't use it to flash your BIOS tho (never flash BIOS from within the OS/Windows).
Edit/Add: OR you can go to the Advanced BIOS Features menu and disable Full Screen LOGO Show and restart, freeze the first POST screen by hitting the Pause/Break key, look on the end of the "Release Number" for your current BIOS version, hit Enter to continue booting normally, then go to the Download Drivers/BIOS webpage and DL and save the one you have now (P09, P08, whatever).

Thanks Bob for the quick reply. You know that this is one of the few forums on the web where the members are quick to jump in with help. It's a pleasant place to be.

    Thanks again.
