Looking at the Logitech F510 or 710 wireless i prefer to play games like fallout NV and Mafia II with a controller i know its weird but its more comfortable for me anyway i play both through steam so do the F510 and 710 work with these 2 games in steam?

I would just get an xbox 360 wireless controller since it's supported by almost all games.

I have one and I love it :)

+1 to the xbox controller although i will say one thing vs the wired vs wireless one. Unless it doesn't matter to you at all but i kinda like it the wired one actually vibrates like it really goes off i've noticed its alot weaker in wireless controllers for obvious reasons

+1 to the Xbox 360 Controller... I have one also.  Only thing I have noticed lately is, you cannot just buy the wireless dongle anymore.  Mine just randomly died a couple weeks ago and all I could find was the dongle and controller pack, and I have an xbox with 3 controllers already.  My point of this is even though I hate wires, might help you in the long run to go with the wired version.

that is so crazy.  my receiver just died on me the other day too.  for some reason they have deactivated the receiver, so i cant find one.  i really dont want to have to buy the pc pack again since i dont have an xbox controller.  so now my xbox controller is useless.  just go with the wired controller, i never had a problem with my wireless one, but once that reveiver dies you are out of luck

i have the logitech f510.  its a decent controller, not as good as the xbox360 though.  it maps to keystroke assignments and mouse movements so the analog sticks really dont function as analog which is the main reason the xbox360 controller is better.  i have also never been able to get the rumble to function in games.

essentially it provides the same type of controls of a keyboard and mouse but in controller form.  i havent used it in a while and am willing to part with it if you want to pm me.

the onza definitely seems like it will be the best available controller, when it comes out.  besides a good keyboard and mouse that is.

if they decide to keep the current projected price scheme for the onza then it will be worth it.

Here is a fix I told fletchj about that does work. He just fixed his by doing this...

Here is a link that shows some pics. You just have to solder one little part, it is like a little fuse section that the solder breaks on for some reason. I have fixed a few this way and it does work.

Buy a PS3 controller and a 2 dollar bluetooth dongle and download the MotionInJoy drivers (and don't give Microsoft more money...!) I use a PS3 controller with the now SIGNED MotionInJoy drivers and couldn't be happier using it as a controller. In some games you may have to change what controller type the ps3 is emulating, but probably a good 99% of the time, telling the drivers to emulate a 360 controller works perfectly (some games might flip the x and y axis of the sticks though, easily fixed, again, in the drivers)

Yea i'd rather getting something that doesn't require me to use a work around or "fix" something lol i've done enough "fixing" time to enjoy the fruits of my labor.  Which will be even better when my number pops for step-up SLI 570s here i comes! Anyway thanks everyone for the advice.  I'll be grabbing a Xbox 360 wireless black to match my rig wish i could remove that green light on the controller an replace it with blue to really match the rig.

Ever since I bought the wired Xbox 360 controller I dont even bother using the crappy wireless ones. It's a shame no one has come with up with a bluetooth Xbox controller with a built in lithium ion battery like a PS3 controller - best of both controllers.

The PS3 controller still has to be charged so how is that any better then the 360 wireless with plug and play charger?

Anyone who plays things besides FPS games on their PC should have an Xbox controller imo.

It's awesome for games that don't require you to aim. Nice to sit back sometimes and game in comfort like the dirty console peasants :)
