OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG...... yay!!

So this is strange. I got the notification of the ota but when I press it it says my system is up to date on 4.3. 

mine worked perfectly?

mine is all screwed up.  The entire thing is in overdrive.   
 
when I use the keyboard, let's say to type a search on the play store, it types 5 times for every one click.  If try to type anything, it does, "ggggggooooogggggllllllleeeeee"
 
Also when I go to settings and try to scroll, it scrolls for a second then opens something up.  
 
 

I did a reboot on mine, and it seems to have corrected the problems I was having above.    I am assuming they will re-push it out in the next day or so once they get the hiccups corrected.   I am wondering if those of us who got the update, will get it again?

I got the update, and I'm beyond P. O.'ed to find out that I've lost all write privledge to my SD card.
 
I read, after i updated, this is standard in 4.4, but come on!
 
If it's not fixed I'll be forced to return the device to newegg. 16 gig without an SD card is unworkable.

 
Sounds like it was a quick fix for rooted Samsung devices. Hopefully Nvidia patches it in. Shouldn't have to resort to voiding the warranty to restore functionality.
 
 
 
 

I emailed support about no longer having write privledges on my SD card after the update and recivied the following response 
 
"Hi Tony, I do apologize for the issues with the new update. We do not make the tegra note or its software this is made by nvidia and we just sell it for them. I recommend contacting nvidia about the issues with this tablet as the are the manufacturer. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Regards, EVGA"
 
So I guess the answer is you're SOL.
I will be contacting newegg in the morning to check on a return. I've only owned the tablet a week..... total bummer.

I can still write to my 32gb SD card after the new update. I know at first it reported that the sd card was mounted when in fact it wasn't because the apps I moved were missing so I reseated it and all is fine.

Just wanted to tell you how I was able to fix that on mine so maybe you might try that option, thats is the problem some are having isn't it???
Did you want to maybe try and fix your issue or not, or am I in the "don't try to help, help forum????

Major problem for me post upgrade, I either loose Wi-Fi or sound video performance is tanked upon connecting via Miracast to a monitor or TV. Never had any issue with 4.3.1
Anyone else try yet?
 
This means no video/movie streaming or game playing if connection or authentication is required.

KitKat will make your SD Card completely useless: per the Android API specification, apps can no longer write files to your SD card.

What this means is that with KitKat, applications will no longer be able create, modify, or remove files and folders on your external SD card.  As a for-instance, you can no longer use a file manager to copy files from your computer to the SD card over a network.

So should I just return my SD card that I bought or just skip the update? What's the point of the SD slot then

This sucks... I was so excited to see that the update was coming through.  I paid close to 40 bucks for my 64gb sd card.  Not going to update until we have confirmation that I can still use it as I have been.
 
Will my tablet automatically flash if I restart it since the update downloaded itself without my permission?
 

memory is much better IMHO, battery seems worse.
