Computer has been rock solid with IBT and numerous hours of gaming for weeks now.  Seriously, 100% solid.

I have an older HAF932 , prior to them adding the front panel USB 3.0 connectors, so I ordered them from Cooler Master.  They arrived, I installed them, and booted into a BSOD 124.  I rebooted a few more times (BSOD about half the time) and when the system boots, they work properly and all is fine, until I get a BSOD 124.  After an hour of frustration I disconnected the connector from the motherboard and all is fine again.  I just ran some IBT and it passed easily, I rebooted multiple times and it is back to 100% stable.
All is back to normal as long as the front panel USB 3.0 is not connected to the MB.

Does anyone have a clue with this?

Usually it's a Vcore problem (you seem to know).

Did you check if the electrical configuration of the front panel plug is any different from the socket's config of the Dark?

This is an industry standard USB 3.0 header socket and plug.  I have 2 other computers with the same USB 3.0 panel, I will swap the new panel with another computer tonight and see if the problem travels, or stays with the Dark.  That should help me locate the faulty part.  I also have the rear USB 3.0 panel that comes with the Dark, I may install that and see if I get similar results.

For kicks, I broke out my Google Foo and found that is not the first time this has happened.  The case manufacturers order these in bulk and I am not sure that they are tested before shipping.  Hopefully this is that simple of a fix.

Hmm, that does sound like the most likely culprit...

It appears that the front panel USB 3.0 is the problem.  I swapped it with one from a different case and had no problems at all.   Now I need Cooler Master to respond to my service request and get this thing replaced.

Glad you got that sorted. Weird problems often have a simple solution.
