EVGA X58 SLI LE - BIOS Update help required

Hi. I bought a PC from a friend, but turned out he hadn't updated the BIOS in a while. My current version is Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG (As you can see, it hasn't been updated in a while) So what updates do I need? Links to where I can download the updates would be great.
I'm not experienced when it comes to computer hardware, so if there is any information I've missed, just tell me :)

    AwardBIOS v6.00PG is a generic name for all versions of the X58 Bios, so it does not thell us what version you have, if he has never updated it, it would be on a white sticker on the clam shell, for now what you will have to get is what is listed as available on the EVGA site, for the X57 board, you will be getting 83

    My computer has a EVGA X58 SLI LE Motherboard and I downloaded the latest BIOS (E757_83). I want to install this file using a USB device but I am not able to make the computer boot from this device.

    Insert the usb drive.  Boot up.  Let the drive detect.  Go into the bios.  Set USB to HDD mode.  The option doesn't exist when a usb drive isn't plugged in.  Boot up.  Hit the escape or tab button, I forget which.  That bring up the boot options menu.  Choose the usb drive.  Boot.
