Hello,

As i've read through the forums, I've understood EVGA is not considering on making a 770  with a TITAN/Nvidia cooler right? Correct me if I'm wrong or if you have more information about this. I really wanted to get the 770 with this cooler and I love EVGA but now I might have to go to another brand like Inno3D? They are the only one that sell the 770 with a TITAN cooler...

I really hope EVGA releases a 770 with TITAN Cooler, if they consider doing so, I would be willing to pay 30-50$ extra for the Nvidia cooler.

Quick question; is it possible to flash the 770 from Inno3D with the firmware/BIOS of the EVGA 770 that has the EVGA Cooler?

the GTX 770 already has the titan cooler (the internal part of it anyway) only the shroud is different.

I have no idea if EVGA plans on releasing a 770 with the stock cooler, but to answer this question, yes of course you could flash the BIOS to a stock EVGA one, but why would you want to? It would have no effect, other than changing the vendor ID on the card, and you'd lose your warranty.

If you were going to flash the BIOS, I would flash to a modded one without throttling and fan restrictions if you were going to flash at all.

Flashing a BIOS just to change the vendor does nothing for you, except break your warranty if you couldn't flash it back. If it were me, I'd just buy the card I wanted. Who cares if your GPU-z shows eVGA or Inno3D.

I don't think anyone but Inno3D is selling the 770 with a titan cooler because it's not a GK110. The reason the 780 got it was because of it being a "Titan Lite". EVGAs 770 models that aren't ACX are probably the closest you're going to get to the nVidia blower-style cooling. I've seen pictures of 770s with Titan coolers, but according to an article I read nVidia isn't planning on releasing them to the public. If you really want one, Inno3D is probably your best bet. Flashing the BIOS would be possible, but pointless and would void your warranty from Inno3D.

We are considering it, but it would have to be priced higher because the cost is rather expensive for that type of shroud design.

And yes, just check the comments on newegg's 770 youtube video, thousands of people looking for the titan cooler on the 770 ;-)

The 770 was presented with the Titan cooler, so everyone thought they would get it on the 770 aswell... They wont show a 760Ti with the titan cooler so there wont be any expectations there.

Re:EVGA GTX 770 w/ TITAN Cooler 2013/06/18 23:07:58 (permalink)
Well, having the Titan cooler gives it this premium look for those who paid premium price for it.

I even bought a GTX 780 SC with reference cooler instead of ACX just because of it's premium look.

It make the internals of my case amazing with that LED :D

When people now look at this GPU light in your case, they know it's either a TITAN or GTX 780 :D

But if now they add GTX 770 760 Ti with the TITAN cooler, people will get confused XD

They won't because they also think the 770 has the titan cooler, because nvidia showed us the 770 with a titan cooler on it.

Could it be possible to sell the cooler separately on the EVGA store? Or do the coolers have to be bought from Nvidia with the card?

Do it man, 770 FTW with titan cooler will sell bucket loads, there are still no 770's with the titan cooler on the market so you could make a killing. I will buy one.

It's still not in the shops, latest availability is mid July, so still waiting...........

Still I wouldn't go anywhere near inno3d brand, prefer EVGA and thier support and warranty.

I can understand the support and warranty part but the Inno3D card is just a reference card made by nVidia so it'll work just as good as any other 770.
