I just bought this motherboard from someone on the market place. When i first got it it it smelled like burnt electronics. Tried it out and it starts to power on then it quits. Decided to take a look to see if there is any bent pins and there are quite a few bent pins. I'm wondering if it is possible to get it replaced or am i going to have to get a refund? Sorry if in wrong place. I'm just a little annoyed..

if u cant return it their is always a interesting other option that ive yet to try. their are some screws that hold the plastic socket to the mobo. some people say that it could be solderied to the mobo however it may not actually be, and after checking on newarkone you can order a entire new plastic socket very cheap. it might be as simple as ordering a new socket and replacing it. i havent actually tried so take this advice with caution as i was gonna try after i picked up a damaged board some where cheap and attempt it. best of luck i dont think evga will warranty bent pins unless its new oem

You also may be able to find a local jeweler that will look at it for you cheap, Jewelers have the fine tools, magnification devices, and the skills and experience to work with small objects, but are often weary of assuming any responsibility, you may be able to find help, if you let them know, that you understand it would be best effort, and no promises.

Afraid your going to Find, EVGA's warranty is extended to first time purchaser, from a authorized seller, with registration of the product within 30 days, and a recept for verification; However you may be able to see if the person you bought from will interceed on your behalf. assuming they have a warranty, and did not buy from a third party. ( Good Luck )

Look to see if there is a microcenter near you, they use to have a in store special I-7 for $200, My first 920 was one of those, each time Intel would come out with a new line of chips, and discontinue the older chips, Microcenter would change the instore special. They had the absolute best price on a I-7 anwhere.

Won't EVGA repair bent pins on a motherboard for a fee?

they move the price up and down every couple of days i think. And they will guarantee their price after you purchase it.. I got one, then a week later they lowered it again, simple talk to them and they give your money back...
