chememan Expedision, on your 4.4 clock, are you running the memory at 8x or 10x? Uncore is at (x18) and memory at 8x. Ram is at 1680Mhz 7-7-6-20.

gutcheck Bah!!!!!!!!!! I got an error on the 20th loop. Temps not so offensive though. If you're getting an error that late into it, you're probably fine for gaming. Trouble with stress testing is that it'll stress well beyond what any game or daily non-critical task will ever do. If you can pass Vantage successfully in multiple runs, then run with it, or back it down a hair if you're uncomfortable. On another note, I'd like to start seeing some templates (will post mine here shortly) as in my own testing I'm solid as a rock at 4.0 GHz, but when attempting 4.1 or 4.2 it's BSOD (0x00000124 mostly) city so I'm in the process of trying different BIOSs. If anyone can share their experiences with what BIOS performed better for oc'ing, I'd be grateful. Ok here's my template: Governator’s current BIOS template as of 02/14/09 (solid at 4.105 GHz) Mother Board ( EVGA X58 Classified E760 ) Drivers ( 9.1.1.1025 ) Bios ( S61J ) CPU ( 920 D0 3941B075 ) CPU Cooler ( Corsair H50 ) Memory ( Corsair Dominator GT 1866 C7) PSU ( Corsair TX850W ) GPU ( 2x XFX 4890 Extremes @ 875/975 ) Drivers ( ATI Catalyst 10.1 ) Operating System ( Windows 7 64 Ultimate ) Frequency Control CPU Clock Ratio ( 20X ) CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) ( 196 ) MCH Strap ( Auto ) CPU Uncore Frequency (Mhz) ( 17x ) CPU Clock Skew ( 0 ps ) Spread Spectrum ( Disabled ) PCIE Frequency ( 101 ) If using SSDs, Check with your SSD manufacturer before raising above 100. *ATTENTION EVERYONE*
Ok so I was thinking for stuff for this thread to change things and I came up with the idea of letting y'all, the ones who have made this such a successful thread, decide what we can do to it to make it into something better...I figured since we've already reached 27 pages and Im pretty sure 20 something pages on the old forums that people like to visit this page. So I want you all to come up with some stuff for this thread to give it a face lift and create new challenges or whatever you guys may think can make this funner and better. So let me know, you can PM me or post it here and see what others have to say, so lets hear it...What ideas yall have? Take care everyone, SimC
