Hello

I have one question.
I have two X299 DARK and experienced that I cannot swap the "mobile" BIOS chip to the other board.
It used to work but doesn't work anymore.

When I start the second board all fans are blowing on maximum. Nothing else happens.
Anyone has an idea why this is not working?

Maybe flash/re-flash the latest BIOS before swapping them if you haven't yet..Make sure the BIOS Selector Switch is in the same position on both boards..I would flash the BIOS to the latest in all three BIOS Switch positions after you see if it works with the latest BIOS.

My BIOS chip -was- flashed to the latest version before I tried to swap and BIOS chip was in correct position. I also cleared CMOS. In other words I treated it same way I am supposed to do when sent new chip from EVGA. It seems you have missed the point: This is supposed to work yet it didn't.

It seems tht ist is working after update before it rebooted.

After reboot it is not "swappable" anymore.
I want to have take over with same overclocking.
    Why isn't it working?
I think it used to work before in the past.

Is there a serial or a MAC adress from the motherboard stored in the bios after  the reboot?
Also cloning the chip is not working.
    Why???

    Thanks for any sugesstions.

I'm afraid I wouldn't know. If you are still having an issue you will need to contact EVGA Tech Support and open a ticket with them.
