Company name EVGA gave me for my step-up was "EVGA RMA Dept." 80 Pounds seems rather much.. But i don't really know what other companies are around in the UK. The other way, from germany to UK, i would have to pay ~16€ for a <5kg <120x60x60 Packet with DHL.

make sure EVGA EU accepts shipping with any other mail companies. I know that they don't do it for Turkey, they accept only UPS. maybe someone from support can clarify?!

looks likely I wont be going ahead now I think, evga also added price the new 970 on my invoice from 405 euros to 425 and put my old card to 400 euros, so if I proceed the overall cost be over 100 euros which I think is excessive. I can see now why evga went cheap on shipping the free backplates.

If you're in the UK you can also use Royal Mail and choose to have it insured.

after the recent price increase step-up got really a very bad choice for user who bought their cards prior to that. additionally if you don't reside near Germany the shipping is another big issue. that's actually not what step-up was meant to be, pity but true. I already canceled the step-up 2 times just because of way too high costs.

I sent my FTW from the UK to EVGA in Germany and it cost be £18.45. It was via royal mail and was tracked, signed for and insured for £250. I know it wasn't fully insured but over £250 was quite expensive (over £30 iirc)

ok I see now on royalmail direct site they do a parcel delivery but only upto £250 value. Much cheaper than parcelforce but with risk of losing out on £100.

20 UK Pounds sounds reasonable for shipment.

Why do people keep using the word royal mail? Royal mail dont send parcels to germany under its own name its done under parcelforce. So the question is how did you get it almost £30 cheaper than the price on the parcelforce website. Website link for the price? The price I quoted by the way was also without extra insurance, just the inclusive insurance. https://ship.parcelforce....vice/service_selection
The tracking number is a Royal Mail tracking number so as far as I'm aware it's Royal Mail. It wasn't done online. I went to my local post office. International Tracked & Signed was used with insurance of £250.
