You can only step up boards with the same socket. So your current board will not be able to be stepped up to a LGA 2066 board.

Motherboards
- EVGA motherboard products are limited to pre-approved models and same socket-type only.
- Products known to have limited availability will not be made available to the Step-Up program. (Limited availability determined by EVGA.)
- Customers who received their EVGA motherboard as part of a complete computer system are not eligible - except for those listed on our approved system vendor list.

- X79 Dark (Socket 2011) → X99 Classified (Socket 2011-3): NO (Different CPU Socket)
- Z87 Classified (Socket 1150 ) → Z97 Classified (Socket 1150): YES (Same CPU Socket)
