    I've heard 1650, 2060's ,& yesterday it was 1080 Ti's .... Who knows.
Probably will be sent directly to Miners or system builders, so I wouldn't get your hopes up to see them in retail at all.

i had a 1650 super before the 1080 SC and the 1650 super was not far behind in FPS. It was a dell OEM 1650 super also.  I have a HP omen on the way pretty much to part it out and take the 3070 for myself.

The new 1650/1660's with GDDR6 ( About 6% faster than the original version with GDDR5 ) are decent 1080p gaming cards when anything more is unavailable--As to whether or not better than the 1080ti with it's wider bus and more but slower VRAM it'll depend on many variables, and if also you only want to look at synthetic benchmarks or actual real world gaming results since some game code/optimization is better than others.  I think the 1080ti wins here overall, but I'm thinking it's more likely the 1650's & -60's are more likely to be coming to this market since supply chain logistics and production probably quicker and higher profit margin.  Hopefully the entire market gets better soon!

Just no. The 1080 Ti is literally over double the performance of a 1650.

You can read other examples from other outlets. It won't change the results. The 1650 is barely a 1080p if you like eye candy. Meanwhile, I can play Division 2 4K 75% scaling with all ultra settings except AA and not drop below 60 FPS. I mean if you have nothing, this would get you by but... wow. Folks need to be patient until the manufacturing and world markets stabilize. It's going to be months yet.  I've thought about going SLI again but the prices for used 1080 Ti's are absurd.

You're definitely right, a GTX16xx series is not the equal of the GTX10XXti, and FPS is over double between the two cards mentioned.   I absolutely agree, prices for used 1080 Ti's ( And all other cards, used or new ) are absurd in this market.  I also think you're correct that it will be MANY months ( or even longer unfortunately ) before manufacturing and world markets stabilize.  Wish you best of luck scoring that 2nd 1080ti at a decent price for your SLI setup!

When I wrote many variables which was perhaps overly broad for the thread, I'm including things like other hardware limitations such as how cpu-bound the system is & etc ( It's not just GPU's in short supply, and many people been waiting more than 1 hardware gen to upgrade, and some people still have 60hz monitors... ).  I give anyone who's gotten far enough to be here and read these forum posts credit enough to grasp the price-vs-performance concept and search out both synthetic benchmarks & actual game benchmarks done by the many reputable recognized folks in the gaming and hardware world for every imaginable card/card rev. ( And often on the same bench system to actually compare apples to apples ) and thought the implication of checking benchmarks and prices was enough for the thread.  I could've been clearer/more specific; All I really meant to suggest was that of the two options, if you can't get a 1080ti ( Or other higher performing card ) at all or at the right price or if you don't have the budget, the new 16xx series may offer acceptable gaming performance ( Everyone has their individual cutoff point where it just isn't worth it to them ) for now for anyone who might otherwise pass it over due to the core vintage as not having enough oomph and not take a second look, but doesn't want to wait no-one-knows-how-much-longer-after-a-year-already!  It's a tough time to be short a GPU in a new build or have one that's out of warranty die.  On that note, I saw a B-stock GTX1660ti for $269 earlier, an RTX2060ko for $289, and about 3 different 2080ti's between $1k-1.4K so all hope is not lost for the GPU-less who don't have the budget or can't wait.  Very best of luck to everyone hunting for the best available option for now 'til we can get that awesome shiny newest hardware we all desire at something reasonably close to MSRP and without camping retailer sites and refreshing for months to get the add-to-cart button to do so!

I'd been prowling discord for weeks trying to score a graphics card to upgrade my pc. After many missed attempts with amazon it's there but it's really not.
I bought s used 1650 super off craiglist.
Not exactly what I wanted. Though it boosted fps from 30-40 to 70-80 and my daughter couldn't be much happier.
Now I'm on a few waiting lists and patiently waiting to be notified.
Come one with the notification. LoL

It would kind of be surprising to see more 1650 come out since the problem seems to be getting chips made so adding another chip even an older one still would slow production. Unless they found chips laying around already made I don’t see it happening.

Those of us following financial markets saw some news that might suggest hope here:  Canadian Cryptomining corp HUT 8 hit news 03/26 ordering $30mil worth of Nvidia CMP HX product for May 2021 delivery which means there's either a production line firing up now, still going, or perhaps recently idled using the TU116 core ( And GA102 core for 90HX which is the CMP version of RTX3080! ) that was making that and other orders.  I speculate based on recent leaks Nvidia appears to be repurposing some of it's A100 stock into a new higher output CMP revision, that either Nvidia or AIB Partners or both will see better profit potential and might reconvert some or all of the lesser TU- and GA- core CMP HX product to consumer graphics cards again--All they'd need to do is add the video output hardware back onto the cards, or they could even just add a header and use a daughter board to get to market faster and and cloak it under a bigger shroud with a monstrous heat sink and make 3 slot form-factor cards as the 2.5 & 2.7 slot are now standard (Plus most of us would want to OC it anyway and they know this ).  I can't imagine how that scenario or something very similar is not a winning corporate move at the price levels that product would command in these GPU-scarce times with all of us gaming consumers clamoring for better performing GPU's like a starving mob waiting for food to be delivered!  Here's hoping it happens soon if someone's not packing shipping containers with that product I envision as I'm writing about it here!

Guys a 1650 just flew over my house!

The issue is chip manufacturers like TSMC and Samsung not being able to make chips fast enough to meet demand for anyone, not just Nvidia/AMD. They will be prioritizing production time for medical and industrial applications, or whatever contracts are most profitable. The only way we would see older cards come back is if OEMs are sitting on a stockpile.

These cards do seem to be showing up with higher frequency at retailers.  Unfortunately, even at retailers, they are generally priced ridiculously higher than their original MSRP.  I understand people are desperate for something, but that price for the level of performance it is not something that I could justify.

I've seen 16-series cards pop up on Zotac's webstore.  Haven't seen eVGAs though.
