rtx 3080 ftw3 ultra 4 red led and max fans.

Just got my rtx 3080 ftw3 ultra yesterday and when i installed it and downloaded precision x1, the fans started going max speed. I got scared and shut down the pc. When i turned it back on, the fans constantly spin at max, the rgb logo and the logo at the top doesnt light up anymore, and there are 4 solid led lights above the power connector. I looked into precision x1 and the software detects the 3080 but only shows 2 fans instead of 3 and any fan setting i adjust, doesn't change anything. Please help

    When you ran the Precision X1 program, is that when the red lights and fans started?

    At first when it started thats when it happened. Now its whenever i turn on the PC

    Yeah, it was updating the cards firmware and in your panic you shut the pc down and probably bricked your card. That was normal behavior. Time to RMA

    It was before i had precision x1. I downloaded it but never installed it yet because thats when my card was going crazy

    Either way, card is probably faulty I’m sorry to say. In that case I don’t think the simple act of downloading PX1 did this.

    What power supply do you have it connected to?

    Maybe try switching to the other bios and rebooting. When X1 installs for the first time it starts the bios update and fans go 100%. You interrupted that process. Not sure switching to the OC bios can limp you back in to Windows to reflash the 1st BIOS

    Thanks for the recommendation radar. Sadly, i tried it and it didn't work. Im starting to see the RMA shine brighter and brighter now lol

    Hey mate, sorry to say this but you have bricked your card.  When you first run Precision X, the firmware updates on the card and a message actually tells you to 'not turn off the PC' while the firmware is updating.  The fans spinning up to Max is normal while the firmware update is applied.
