So far none. Nothing this  year has wowed or even impressed me.

Now that ME: Andromeda  has been patched ( several times )  it is pretty good gameplay.

I've been looking forward to playing it once it gets some TLC.  I put in like 20 hours beforehand and enjoyed it, so it can only get better with patches.

Resident Evil 7 was so good.  Now that Im getting into Horizon Zero Dawn, this might be my new fav now

I can't really play spooky games, but RE7 might force me to get over it because it looks so good.  I played the demo and thought it was awesome, so I'll probably end up buying it at some point in the near future.

My favorite game of the last 6 months or so has been Dishonored 2. I loved completing all the achievements and finding all the easter eggs.

I may be a weeb, but....Persona 5 hands down.

Actually ..... scratch that.    Witcher 3 was LAST year !!

First I'd have to say ME:A, because after the patches it is definitely worth playing.  I just recently discovered RimWorld, but I think it was released a few years ago, and still says "alpha" on Steam.  A close second is going to have to be Sniper Elite 4.  

I would have to say Horizon Zero Dawn. I personally like it when we see a title that doesn't have a series to build off of. Nioh is great but feels like Darksouls and games that make people rage quit are not normally game of the year but it's a great game. I have been just started playing Nier Automata and while I wouldn't say it's game of the year it's a great game and worth playing. After beating Witcher 3 I am kind of picky on what I would say game of the year is though. I was kind of disappointed when Overwatch won last year since I kind of value story more then multiplayer in a game of the year.

 
Hopefully I can post COD WW2 later this year here in this thread. I'm hopeful.

Since I haven't played Zelda yet I'd probably have to say MA:E right now. Although I have been having some fun with playerunknown's battlegrounds

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Rust, all feedback from just after launch. What have the devs been messing up? My pet peeve is unbalanced freemium

 
 
Let's say you spent hours farming enough stone to make a compound around your base to make it harder for other players to raid or to mess with you. The devs thought it was a great idea to allow other players to build using twig inside building blocked areas. That means a player can hit a tree for 2-3mins to get enough wood to build over the wall you spent many hours farming to make. They can also build onto your base with twig to allow them to get on top of it. 
 
The dev's finally removed building with twig in building blocked areas (areas you don't have cupboard access to build) MANY months later, but it's too late. I just can't get back into playing it. I did check out the game during Christmas, the performance has taken a big hit. Before i stopped playing, i was getting 80-120+fps. I was lucky to stay above 40fps now on a server that just wiped 2days ago.
 
Rust has been in Early Access on Steam since Dec. 11th 2013.

Playing Spellforce 3 right now. Love it!
 
Looking forward to Anno 1800 later this year. Kingdom Come: Deliverance looks amazing. Vermintide 2 whenever it's going to release. Phantom Doctrine looks promising.
