I have a new build that I just finished up with a X299 Dark I bought 2 years ago with i9-9900x and 64GB Dominator Platinum RGB 4x16GB DDR4 3600 CMT64GX4M4K3600C18 kit. Bios only sees 2 sticks for 32GB of ram and Windows 10 ENT only sees 32GB of ram. CPU-Z and Speccy see 64GB of Ram. I tested each stick individually in slot 2 and they are all working until I populate all for Banks on the mother board and Bios will only see 32 GB populated in Banks 2-3. Memtest passes and the RAM led's on the board light up white. Running Bios v1.29 because V1.21 wasnt showing it either. PC runs great on 32GB of Ram and Corsair iQue functions fine for the LED's. I have pulled the CPU and looked for bent pins with a magnifying glass and the pins look perfect. After I cleared the CMOS it showed banks 1-2 populated but now it shows 2-3. Any one have some suggestions on what to try next other than buying new Ram and testing it which maybe next. This RAM is not on EVGA's list for approved RAM but Corsair says it will work. I'm a former seasoned Sr. Desktop Engineer who is now a Network Engineer and this has me truly baffled. My last build was a X58 Classified 3 with a 980X so I'm learning the ropes as I go here with EVGA's new GUI BIOS. I figure its something simple Im overlooking. You Tube testing the 32 GB kit. RE: you mentioned "Bios only sees 2 sticks for 32GB of ram and Windows 10 ENT only sees 32GB of ram." "CPU-Z and Speccy see 64GB of Ram" OK, what about Windows memory tester ? What about in Safe mode? That is a bit odd that the non MS software can see all RAM .... No clear idea why BIOS is not showing all of it; when software can see it Are you Running XMP settings? Did you try setting manual Voltage & no XMP, or just stock "Intel speeds" look at CPU specs for "max supported "stock" RAM speeds" Maybe IMC voltage or other voltage setting for your CPU is a bit low? Maybe your CPU IMC is just a bit touchy ? When you move the sticks of RAM, do the "active RAM slots" also move ? Test 1 stick at a time - each one works - using the designated 1 RAM slot ? then as pairs ? then 4 sticks? Any possibility that the CPU cooler has been over tightened or not kept level, as you tightened it ? (you mentioned checking the pins for damage already) Bad RAM, bad RAM slot (or dirty) .... just very odd if your still seeing all the RAM in CPU-Z You did a default install with 64-bit OS ? this is a Great resource OC Guide for EVGA X299 DARK motherboard

Cool GTX's advice on the possibility of an over-tightened CPU cooler is one of the first things you should explore.

Bump up uncore voltage a bit and see if it helps.

After reading about the Uncore voltage that might be the issue. I was theorizing the MB was not providing enough voltage to boot all 4 Dimms but was providing enough for RGB and for Software to read the device and to run 2 Dimms. Slots 1 and 4 are red during post but turn white after Windows boots up. Thanks guys, It gives me something to try out later on.

make sure you place a fresh battery in MB for the CMOS, or at least check it. They are hard to reach once your PC is fully built

The only conclusion I can come up with at this point is that I have 2 sticks of ram that are defective. The two good sticks show up in Bios validating the slots are atleast good and Bios and Windows both see them. The defective sticks must be good enough for RGB to work and for software to read them. I will find out in a few days when I receive my new kit of Dominator Ram. From the research I have been doing it seems the failure rate of this Dominator ram with RGB is pretty high. I will report back in a few days.

While shopping for new RAM, Amazon has the ram listed as AMD and AMD/Intel. Looking at the box of RAM I have it does not have Intel listed on the box. Just thinking out-loud if this might be my problem or not.

The AMD/Intel designation usually has to do with Ryzen having a more sensitive memory controller onboard and was sensitive to high speeds. I believe that 3600mhz was the highest you were suppose to run, but im sure one of the Ryzen guys here will tell you. What did come from that though was companies testing to make sure there ram was working with the ryzen chips for the base spec and in the DOCP/AMP specs, which are amds version of XMP. so that designation of AMD approved etc... started popping up on listings. Intel isnt as finicky and will usually work with most brands and speeds. Although, imo, i dont like XMP/DOCP for everyday or even benching use myself, i prefer to do manual for stability.

Well the verdict is in and it was 2 DOA sticks right out of the box from the 64GB kit. I just installed 2 new 3600Mhz sticks and all 4 slots show populated in Bios and in Windows for 64GB total now. Real punch to the wallet. I purchased the 64GB kit on eBay from a computer store last year so all liability is on me and nothing I can do other then trash the two sticks. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Woah....thats not true. Im pretty sure Corsair has a limited lifetime warraanty on there sticks too like gskill and will rma them for you. They are pretty decent with warrantys as far as i know. I would def try... you cant lose at this point the sticks are already dead. Worst that could happen is they say no.

I may be out of my league suggesting this, but did you make sure you set the memory voltage to the XMP requirement? I thought I read everything above and was supprised the only thing I saw was someone asking you to bump volts. One thing I remember when I started working with "overclocked" memory was you had to set the voltage. Does XMP now include the voltage?

Oh i bought two Corsair venegance RGB PRo sticks on ebay last year(2x8) and didn´t had the posibility to buy 2 more until now. I bought two brand new " identic" modules and have exactlxy the same thing, there are only shown 16 GB in the bios, in CPUZ etc. are shown 32 GB in dualchannel:(...:( how disapointing again. But only the 2 brand new modules could be faulty, hard to imagine that this is the thing??

They'll have you send the old kit in and send out a kit with the same or better timings and same total capacity. They don't do refunds (unless perhaps purchased directly from Corsair.com). Be forewarned - I sent out a DDR4 8x8GB (64GB total) 2400MHz kit that had RAM coolers, and got back a DDR4 4x16 (64GB) 2800 MHz kit without RAM coolers- so you are not always going to get back the same kit.

So I had to ship the entire 64GB kit back to Corsair and they did indeed replace them even without a receipt. Fantastic customer service from them for sure. Once I get the 64GB kit back I will return my 32GB kit back to Amazon and will be done. Its great that they replaced it but its being shipped from a warehouse in China via FedEx. Shame they don't have any US warehouses.

Installed the new 64GB Dominator kit and installed Bios 1.29 on Bios 1, Set the XMP profile and set the Bios to Gamer overclock and have been humming along. I noticed the new RAM modules have the CK/UK branding on them and fit and finish around the LED's seem better. My old kit had a crease down the middle where the modules where assembled and a tiny bit of light would seep through. Very happy with the build and performance. I will continue to buy Corsair products with that kind of support.
