with current set up in modern warfare settings are low or disabled render resolution at 50 i get 180 to 215 fps which is great im looking at upgrading card im trying to accomplish great graphics and performance both so im asking what card gives me that where i can keep great fps and run settings higher and get more of what the graphics card has to offer and with that being said i know all games are different.

then a 3080 or 3070 would probably be great....

but you also should adjust your ingame settings to match your monitor refresh speed.  Hitting 180- 215 frames on a monitor running 60hz is a waste ( even at the 120 )
That's the 'true' sync you want to look for when gaming.... hitting  120 frames on a 120Hz monitor , or 144 frames on a 144, or  240- 240 ,..etc...etc.

my display is at 2560x1440 144 refresh my in game settings in codmw is the same 144 and 2560x1440 and with settings on low or disabled and render resolution at minimum i get the 170 to 215 depeding on map im playing if i raise the render i drop to 130 to 150 and i can put settings on low or medium with render at 100 and ray tracing on and get 70 to 80 fps but ive always heard more fps the better.

    I would try these settings:

Keep your render resolution at 100, adjust the native resolution to 1920x1080 or keep it at 2560x1440.

    V-Sync: Enabled
    Texture Resolution: Normal
    Texture Filter Anisotropic: Normal
    Particle Quality: Normal
    Streaming Quality: Low
    Shadow Map Resolution: Normal
    Cache Spot Shadows: Disabled
    Cache Sun Shadows: Disabled
    Particle Lighting: Normal
    DirectX Raytracing: Disabled
    Ambien Occlusion: Disabled
    Anti-Aliasing: SMAA T2X
    Weapon Blur: Disabled
    Motion Blur: Disabled

If you're playing Multiplayer - make sure Raytracing is  off  ( it will kill your frames for sure , and it isn't even noticeable )

Rainstryke is pretty spot on in his settings recommendations ....

My son gets 75 fps in COD MW on his 1440P monitor , pretty much normal (medium ) settings  & he's only using an overclocked 1060

both of these are with rainstryke settings the fps is great but one problem i have and i cant figure it out is i use nvidia exp to record and i upload to my youtube and some videos play as crap and others play in 1080p or 1440 and  are great.
also i notice with my monitor indisplay settings i have pc resolution and ultra hd hd and sd resolution the hd shows the 1080p the pc option shows just 1080 the native is 2560x1440 and any resolution option i use outside of pc automatically drops me to 60hz refresh which i dont understand but ill keep the settings from rainstryke it looks great and getting good fps thanks for help.

Looks great! Make sure to drop the suppressor on that sniper rifle and replace it with a muzzle brake and you'll make a lot more kill shots.

ok i notice with rainstryke settings which i like very much. my monitor refreshes at 144 at 1080 im avg 125 to 140 fps which is great but in 1440 im avg 80 to 90 fps so im looking at upgrading graphics so i can get the 130 140 in 1440p im asumming the 3070 will do that with no problem but if its hard to get it for awhile is there another graphics card that will make it happen.

For the price difference of the 3070 to the 3080, I think you get more value out of the 3080.  Also, until you max out your fps and max out the quality of settings, a higher performance GPU will always allow you to go farther, at least until you reach the limitations of your display.  So without specification on what you require for being happy, there is not much else that can be recommended other than that.

That's a never-ending struggle, that's how I ended up with this RTX 2080Ti. You will have to lower your settings a little more if you want to play at 1440p. Anti-Aliasing should be dropped to SMAA X1. Even a RTX 3090 only gets around 90-100FPS in that game with full ray tracing on running 1440p... Maybe with NVLINK you could get that 144FPS+ with max graphics on 1440p. There are no good deals right now, prices have not dropped and used items are worth more now. It's a rough time to buy a new card... if you had to buy something now, i'd get the RTX 2070 Super... hard to suggest at that 500 dollar price point. The RX 5700XT I had was actually just as good on Call of Duty when comparing to my RTX 2070 Super, if anything a little better on Call of Duty. The problem was... after months of trying, I couldn't get through a full game without it crashing, never could figure it out... maybe it would work better with a Ryzen set-up.
