on a miners forum i love tangling with they were crying in their beer as earnings were 1/2 what they were
i had to taunt them and it's on my site with today's news

Hopefully reduction to mining puts these cards into the hands of gamers and if miners are not making a profit then the demand from scalpers will drop to the point they are not making a profit.

First of all, reducing affects only Ethereum mining. RTX 3060 makes $2 per day(depends on exchange rate). So, half of year - and cards pays for themselves. No one know how this cryptocurrency boom will last, maybe after 3/2/1 month it will drop dramatically, but...
Also there some other cryptocurrencies not affected by has rate halving.

Plus as soon as Ethereum is not worth mining another alt coin will pop and be new the mining king and there already some potential but right now everyone is riding on Ethereum until they can't. So Until the production and importing issues are fixed cards will still be going to scalpers for lack of cards miners are just adding to the difficulty of getting cards.

On my last post I commented that with more mining there is less to go around. Several forums I am on all say earning are down.
I am always hunting for dirt cheap video cards and I do get them once in a while

People who mine/own coins pay taxes on the capital gains when they sell the coins into US dollars and make profit. How is that not helping pay down the debt? Coins are treated as a commodity by the government, not as a currency. Make money pay taxes. They also use the coins to buy goods and services. That is part of the economy is it not? People making money is kind of good for the economy I would say.

Nothing good actually. If miner able to buy this card for MSRP price - it still profitable. So, they will look for it. But if you are gamer and was lucky enough to buy this RTX 3060... you can download miner and make $2/day instead $4/day between game sessions.
