Hey guys and gals, I was pretty disappointed in the lack of coverage of water block's for the 40 series GPUS. Do you think it will be similar for the 50 series? I hope not, but hearing about EK has me very hesitant. Doubt I will be able to afford the next gen anyway, at least at first. Plus I really don't need an upgrade with a 4080 & 4080 Super in my second machine..

I put a Watercool Heatkiller on my 4090 FE. It's really good while also being one of the more reasonably sized options out there. It wasn't even bonkers pricing like the EK and Optimus stuff usually is. They'll likely do 50-series as well, but just like the 40-series, only for certain cards like the FE and ASUS-strix. I managed a 4090FE for MSRP, otherwise I would not even have a 40-series lol.

Optimus will do the high-end, but likely for just for the Asus Strix/TUF (most expensive card and block lol).
Alphacool has a few more options...a little more affordable, but lower-end than the other two.
Bitspower is another one to look at. They're usually similar in cost to the alphacool ones.

With EK on the skids , its going to be rough, Optimus is was over priced , might end up with a bykski, <>> so how in the hell are you supposed to buy an FE card anyway?  Might be pressed into buying a strix for a 400+ $ premium just to find a block that will work, which blows, it will be worse than a Kingpin and the ultra copper block on the scalper market was. Hoping a TUF and strix are close enough to use the same block.

A lot of blocks worked for both tuf and strix last time.

I'm guessing FE cards will either be best buy again or maybe direct orders from Nvidia's site.

You could check out Phanteks blocks as well if they make some for 5000 series.  I was debating between them and the EK one for my Gigabyte 4090.  I guess I should have gone with Phanteks after all, but at the time thought the EK looked better and wanted to finally try something from EK.....awkward lol.  Was even going to re-do my CPU block with an EK and swap to their fittings because I've been wanting to swap from soft to hard tube and would have needed new fittings
