I was watching a stream today and out of no where my pc started pixelating and freezing up, one of my monitors turned black then my pc Blue Screened. There was a message on the blue screen but i  don't remember it. I looked up the D6 boot code in the manual and it say's "D6 No console output devices are found" I don't know what that means so i google the code for my mother board and i read something about my gpu not being detected and something about my usb devices. What caused this blue screen and how can i fix it ? Also could this be Ram related ?

That usually is GPU related.

Can you give your full system specifications? Are there any other symptoms?

Cool GTX
Reboot the PC after a "Full power flush"

Unplug PC & everything that has a power cord & is connected to the PC: monitor, external drive, USB hub, printer........
Then hold the start button 10 - 20 seconds - this discharges all capasitors

Plug it all back in & start the PC

Since I'm not getting any responses and I'm still getting blue screens I'll have to RMA the motherboard. I'm actually really upset with EVGA and their mediocre motherboards, I've been using the MB for about 10 months and i already have had multiple issues with it. Does evga not test it's components before mounting them on the board itself, No thorough testing for the MB ? This will be my last MB from EVGA from now on.

I've ran the sfc /scannow command on Powershell 4 times with no issues so i don't think it's the OS misbehaving. Possible bios issues ? Wish EVGA would update the bios for this MB.

FAQ # 59363 EVGA Motherboard POST Code Search
Code: D6
Info: No Console Output Devices are found

Detail: D6 indicates No graphics output. Motherboards and CPU's that do not support integrated graphics will need a graphics card installed

Make sure Fast BOOT is OFF in MB settings

Which BIOS is running in your MB?

You can get into Windows / for how long before the Error?

What software is running in the background?

Can you get to the BIOS screen OK, does GPU show as installed?

Windows Device Manager - Any Errors?

Confirm GPU is:
1) Fully Seated & Locked into PCIe slot

2) PSU cable are Fully inserted & Locked in to power sockets on GPU

 - Do you have an older/ different GPU you could try in this MB, to test with?

 - If not, move GPU to a different slot

 - Do you have a second PC to test your GPU in?

Take GPU out & test with the iGPU --->Intel® UHD Graphics 770 -- Make sure it is on in BIOS & monitor is connected to output

Still No Joy ?

Start your RMA, by making a ticket, EVGA should respond in a day or two of normal business hours (M-F)

I have a gpu installed, it's an Intel ARC a770 Limited edition.

Which BIOS is running in your MB? 1.11 The only bios available for the MB duh.

You can get into Windows / for how long before the Error?I can get into windows fine with no errors but today when getting into windows the pc immediately froze and i couldn't use the power or restart buttons on the pc case so i had to switch off the power supply.

What software is running in the background ? Discord, MSI Afterburner, Riva tuner, Steam, G.skill trident z lighting control, Intel ARC control, Corsair Icue, Intel driver support and assistant, power automate, bluetooth devices, windows security. That's what's running in the tray, If you're talking about task manager there's way to many things running to list them all.

Can you get to the BIOS screen OK, does GPU show as installed? I can enter the bios screen, the gpu is being detected.

I'm pretty sure it's not the GPU, i stress tested it 2 days ago with no crashes or errors.

you are behind the BIOS update curve ..... Intel fixes for high voltage issues that kills chips, have been released by EVGA

---> There were other Intel fixes issued earlier than the latest one mentioned below (Pinned at TOP of Z790 Section of Forums) --- that is WHY I asked which BIOS was loaded

Dear EVGA Community,

Thank you everyone for your patience while our team worked on the updates per Intel for the Z790 motherboards.
These updates include the latest 0x12B Microcode and the Intel ME Firmware Update (16.1.32.2473).

This BIOS is considered BETA, and we only recommend flashing it to one of your BIOS chips, just in case you need to revert back to an older version.

The BETA BIOS can be downloaded at the links below:

·         121-RL-E799-KR - EVGA Z790 DARK K|NGP|N - v1.21
·         121-RL-E798-KR - EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED - v1.18

I would start by trimming your list of background software for conflict testing:

First ones I'd stop: G.skill trident z lighting control & Corsair Icue (older ver of Icue is known to cause issues) & MSI AB (unstable OC?)

One easy test - "Windows clean boot"

Intel driver support - can be run as maintenance, does not need to be running all the time

---> Remove any OC on the PC & test, if system is stable your OC is too aggressive

---> Have you tried a clean reinstall of the Intel GPU driver?  How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver

---> What browser are you using & have you tested with Hardware acceleration, turned Off?

---> Device Manger Errors?

---> Fast Boot off in MB BIOS settings?

--->  Clear the Windows Startup file ---> Hold the shift key down & then select "Shut down, in Windows menu"  keep shift key down until Full power off of PC

Are you using a Sound card, MB sound chip or the GPU's Sound ...... only load 1 sound driver in the PC.. to prevent conflicts

The error you are getting sometimes "D6" is either an unstable OC setting, conflict with software, bad driver, other software issue, Bad GPU or maybe a bad MB .... the fact that the failure is transient will make the troubleshooting tough
