Ok everyone,

I'm sad to say that just about everyone at EVGA including Jacob Freeman and Alex Yang, who's in charge of the BIOS team, have left the company. It's safe to say that this is the end of the road for EVGA.

Amen. The evil king on the throne is dead.

Why they got so many pardons and passes is beyond me.

I tried to warn everyone.... here, on evga's discord, and other places. Those of you with these boards I do feel for. Some of you in this post didn't see my warnings. I also said those of you who got the extended warranty you better get that refund while you still can. You are not going to be able to collect with most of EVGA's revenue out the window.

Since Andrew Han took advantage of Keith Rochford being sick to force Keith out plus get his part of the company, nothing has been the same. It's been a slow decline, EVGA had the dream team Kingpin and Shamino thanks to Keith, Andrew messed that up as well. Sadly Anrew because of his ego, thinking he is so important crashed and burned the company thinking he would teach Nvidia a lesson. He thought nvidia needed EVGA not EVGA needed nvidia. All he is done is destroy what he helped Keith Rotchford build, Keith is actually the one who gave EVGA its original principles to business model not Andrew Han... EVGA's reputation is fading fast with what we are seeing, and now it's legacy. It will leave a many of its diehard fans with a bad taste in their mouth how things have gone.

As for your boards with no support, you can hope Kingpin gets someone to make a custom bios for it, find someone who actually knows what they are doing to make a custom bios for it. Keep the board as a collector's item, or try to sell it and get an ASUS or whatever companies board you want that still has support. I highly suggest you get a Gen II board for your 14th gen cpu's so you actually get the full features of 14th gen. Otherwise things may not go like you planned until some bios updates later as it seems some companies 14th gen bios updates for their gen I boards people are having DDR5 speed issues they should be able to run easily.

GL Everyone, EVGA RIP... Wish Keith R. remained in the picture.

I picked up the Z790 Classified expecting it would have support based on the previous statements. I'm still in the return window thankfully. On the phone their tech support stated the new bios had been requested and there was no ETA. It's a real shame as the board features are amazing, but I don't think I can keep it at this point. The 10G lan, high speed USB-C ports, and complete lack of RGB led nonsense were what really sold me on it. Without a solid ETA I guess it's getting sent back and I'm on the hunt for another motherboard.

Andrew Han thank you for single-handedly destroying what used to be best GPU, motherboard company! RIP!

I'm not disappointed or surprised. Since a year now, some sort of exodus started with this company. Han could have been different for sure but he did what he did and the rest is wishful thinking. I'm just sorry for the employees.

R.I.P. EVGA, I remember the good times, even if it's been a few years.

You're good to go with a 13700K - a 14700K has an advantage of plus 5%, incl. more demand on power supply. If the board is in perfect condition, keep it. That's my advice.

I got my Z690 Classy when it came out and paired it with my 12900k. The internet seems to have mention of the 14900k being similar to the 13900ks, but I’d be worried to try. Now I’m thinking my only best bet is a 13900ks, but their dang prices haven’t come down which is odd.
