When will the Z790 DARK PCIEX4 recognition problem using the PCIE TO U2 adapter card be fixed? It is not recognized every time after restarting. There are already several versions

If you've tried the 'final beta' bios v117 and it's still an issue, it's likely never going to be fixed.

I sent an inquiry to customer support for an update on the Z790 BIOS for 14th gen CPUs. I actually received a beta BIOS dated 4/12/2024. Need to talk to tech support  anyway since the scroll wheel on my Z20 mouse died . Will ask about BIOS file and let everyone Know.

Anyone been daring enough to try it on a Z690?
Can we even have multiple versions installed?

With an external flashing tool, like CH341A, it should be possible to cross-flash. The question is if it'll even boot. I think it would be worth trying both the Z790 Classy and KP bioses on the Z690 Dark.

Hopefully EVGA could give us one last BIOS that fixes 13th gen and 14th gen killing themselves with voltage.

No thanks. I’ll keep my performance. The fact he states it only affects some processors makes it seem like a silicon quality issue to me. Glad my sample is a good one. Been running it at stock settings on the z690 kingpin for 1.6 years without issues.

I hope so too.... EVGATech_ChrisB !!! providing new BIOS with updated microcode should be trivial thing to do.

to add new microcode to BIOS should be trivial task.. whoever did 14h gen support for them should also put new microcode into BIOS as soon as Intel releases is next month
