NICE. Aye, EVGA had a mighty fun ride. Enjoy it!

Sad to say I've already purchased a replacement board and my days of purchasing any EVGA products are over.

Welcome to the club, since there isn't much you can buy from EVGA anyways.

funny thing is its still a Z690 board, MSI MEG ACE, newegg had them for a great price and its a really good board that gets continued updates, What sucks is i really like my Classy board and how it looks so changing to a different board bites but if they are not going to support it then i and no one else really have any other option.

I get it, pretty sure we all do! I moved on months ago to an Asrock Nova Z790. I still have a Classified Z690 (EVGA was blowing them out JUST before the Z790s came out) unpopulated sitting in a Lian Li case. Maybe I'll toss a 13th Gen in there for a relative to help them out, but EVGA as long left building, except for some tech support and warranty fulfillments obligations. When my 2080ti died a few months back, the extended warranty was still in effect, and believe it or not they sent me a NEW GPU! (in the past any warranty covered GPS I received from EVGA have said refurb on them and this card had none of that) I guess they had some NOS lying around so I can't complain. But yeah, they are a mere shell of their prior existence and most of us that are still here, reading and posting on the forum, are the last of a dying breed...

I was considering it, but I think I'll wait for 15th Gen since it's apparently a new socket (LGA 1851). Not much point for me to get another Z790 between now and then. 15th Gen expected either late this year or very early 2025. I'm guessing I'll go with an ASUS motherboard for that, depends what's available.

Yup. Confirmed what we were all pretty sure of: there's no more people to do motherboard BIOS updates. It also gave a pretty good indication that they don't plan to (or know how to manage anymore) outsource a BIOS update to support their motherboards further. So that doesn't really leave a lot of questions unanswered.

That is certainly interesting. I'm not sure why they'd choose to run an unsupported CPU on a motherboard that doesn't even have the correct V/F points or microcode for it.

Edit: I see they've done all their GPU testing since the 14900k launched with that CPU on the z790 Dark with a 330W limit in place.

Edit2: I messaged W1zzard and got a response. He's apparently just running it at default settings...whatever those are lol. I wonder if that means it's running at 13900k clocks.
