I think he's looking for an update from the remaining EVGA team members since we are nearing release day for the 14th gen Intel CPU's. Some EVGA customers will be wondering if they'll have to buy a whole new motherboard along with their 14th gen CPU or whether EVGA will make good on their word and actually update the BIOS for their Z690 and Z790 motherboards. Times are changing and EVGA appears to be whinding down as a company, plus they've been radio silent for quite some time now

Is this 'beta BIOS' stable? Even though it doesn't have 14th Gen support...

For me it is stable, I have a 14900KS on the beta bios and it runs just fine, as in, zero crashes, etc etc etc.
Now this is on Win11 canary builds also, currently build 26200 pre-release24012-1717 if that helps. So beta bios and beta OS and the board and CPU are very stable.

Hi mmomega,

I think that there maybe some confusion as the BIOS on this thread does not support the Current Gen. Intel CPUs like the 14900KS, but if anyone does need help with their EVGA Z790 motherboard and Current Gen. CPU Support, then we do have a separate Beta BIOS and please just email me at cbencivenga@evga.com with the registered serial number and I can email it to you.

That comment from me was from 4 months ago. There has since been an updated 'final beta' bios released for Z790 (link) which is working with the 14th gen CPU. :)

Maybe lock this thread since there's been a newer bios released?
