Not defending them here, but even before they started closing down business units and walking staff out the door, it was not uncommon for EVGA to release the BIOS for a new CPU that works on that motherboard on the day of launch.
For example: I have a 13900k on a z690 motherboard. That CPU was not announced when the z690 was launched, so it's the same situation as 14th gen on z790 now. The official bios supporting 13900k was
released on October 20th, which was launch day. So it wouldn't be unlike them to not release anything ahead of launch. It also wouldn't surprise me given current circumstances if they fail to launch any more updates given the state they're in.
