Should I update my 2nd and 3rd bios with 2.13 since it is the most stable and compatible version so far?  Thanks

1st thing to factor into ur question ^^ is ur Hardware. Especially ur CPU.

So start with the following for now:

Use *link* for creating an EVGA Forum signature.

Feel free to copy/edit my signature.

With an EVGA Signature that lists ur Hardware -- below each post u make on these forums -- ppl will be able to better advice u. And very importantly, they won't need to ask as many questions. Therefore helping u is easier.

Anyone looking to push the Z690 Dark memory overclock might find a use for this...

13900KF.
Found some sort of bug. When cpu multiplier is set to anything higher than 5800, launching heavy avx2 load, linpack for example, drops cpu frequency to 5800.
AVX2 offset is set to 0.
It doesn't matter if cpu frequency set by "Per Core" or "Ratio Limit".
All TVB settings are disabled.
Temperature is not an issue - custom loop with supercool direct die. on P5800/E4700 it rarely hits 77-78 degrees at around 400W power.

i am not sure if we should expect too much from EVGA.

TO Last Login was end of april, does not look very promising for me considering possible future updates for RPL refresh.

Yeah. Their answer was "Unfortunately, we can not guarantee overclock on these or any motherboards beyond the advertised clocks.  We test the motherboard to ensure it is properly functioning and beyond this there are various reasons including the CPU itself."

However, in cinebench 20\23 frequency is not dropping down, it holding at 5900. Even 6000 holds on P cores in cinebenches.

But in Linpack and chess Stockfish AVX2 engine its drops to 5800.

Took Apex Z790 from friend for a day to test. Apex holds 5900 on P cores rock solid.

Well, i think i can live with it. Just wanted to clarify things. Seems like it's a EVGA BIOS issue.

EVGA needs to respond. Keep holding them accountable for these issues. Bug reporting to devs is always such a hassle... Wish sometimes companies had a direct way to give feedback to engineers. The world would be a better place, rather than customer service team filtering it

The Gamers Nexus video from a week or so ago implied the BIOS team was getting let go. Maybe I misinterpreted it but sounds like they 2 lead BIOS guys were leaving.

Curious when EVGA will provide a BIOS update for Z690/Z790, even if BETA to support next gen Intel CPUs.

MSI, Gigabyte, Asrock and Asus have ALL put out BIOS updates to support "next gen Intel CPUs" on Z690 and Z790 motherboards.  I really hope were not gonna have to wait till last minute like last time to be provided with a BIOS update like last time, that was sort of a cluster F. Especially given the news that EVGA BIOS engineers are on hunt for new employment.

Double posted for visibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is never.

They sold the product with the compatibility advertised, the company is winding down, and they may feel like they have no requirement to provide enhanced compatibility more than originally advertised.

As I said in another thread, ask EVGA directly.
