Nvidia just lost 80% of sales of gpu’s bad for them.

I doubt NVidia loses anything.  NVidia hasn't seemed to care about gamers or AIB's, and only cared about themselves.

Linus Torvalds moment. nVidia must have acted extremely poorly towards EVGA in order for it to come to this.

I wish you guys and gals the best going forward. There will be a lot of fanboy responses due to EVGA having been an nVidia-exclusive partner for so long but the company would be more than welcomed producing video cards for AMD. Best of luck to all of the employees, and thanks for the years of hard work.

It would be one thing to say that EVGA will start producing AMD cards, but to say EVGA won't be making next gen (nvidia) cards is pretty shocking.   I would agree with Excalibur above that "something must have hit the fan" for things to get to this point.

I have confidence that EVGA could hit their stride with AMD cards.  Unfortunately I recently purchased a high end monitor with the nvidia module, so it looks like i'll be shopping with another AIB .

Something stands out to me with Jacob's post:
EVGA_JacobF
EVGA will continue to provide the current generation products

My guess: there was a major blow-out with remaining 30 series GPUs that are currently overstocked.  I bet EVGA asked for a buyback or something along those lines and Nvidia wasn't willing to budge.  EVGA is going to sell-through what they have and not buy a single 40 series chip.  In the mean time transition to AMD

Edit: Sounds like they won't be making AMD or Intel cards either.
All I can say is, nothing is forever..  and hopefully we will see a return making GPUs down the road.  This is very sad and sorry to any EVGA employees that will be affected by this.

A note to Andrew Han:  100% of EVGA's customer equity is tied to GPUs.. Staying out of this market will kill the brand.  Just look at all the comments.  We're not here solely for the peripherals, PSUs or Mobos.

Sad to hear the last 3 gens (skipped 2 gens in between)I did buy where all from you guys.
I do hope you will still try to give us as long as warranty as possible sins I did bought 10 years of it on my 3090. I do fear though for this to be a lot shorter now. This as well a bit more sins i am in the eu. Hope we will get some info about this soon.

I do wish all the workers the best for now and in what the future brings. Maybe there are other products to take a look at to switch to.

Ok, so what does this mean about our warranties for our cards?

I was ready to spend my money on a 4090 from EVGA because I loved their products. I am REALLY sad to hear this.

Wow so people with extended warranty are going to get the short hand of the stick? No next gen, then later down the line no more current gen stock and no options for step-up for next gen.

Once they are out you are SOL. Glad I was not in a rush to get my 3090 TI extended warranty. They would had robbed me for an additional 270 something dollars... Already got me on a few other 30 series cards...

Sadly the writing was on the wall as soon as Andrew Han took over the failed businessman with an ego. He has singlehandedly destroyed what his business partner and co-owner built & created. We have seen the slow progression of things slowly go downhill over the years. Even the forums get treated as a liability than an asset they are no longer as busy as they used to be with people who freely spoke with crazy ideas to overclocking they all left and went someplace else as the forums got ran differently under Andrews guidance.
