Update to the official message:

EVGA has seen speculation as to whether EVGA has an agreement with NVIDIA not to build other brand graphics cards.

EVGA has no such agreement. For present, however, EVGA is exclusively focused on supporting its existing community and products.

I hope EVGA will have a change of heart and build AMD graphics cards.

that was a different thread ... so, for those who want to know where you got that quote

There is a saying in my country: do good to the devil; he will reward you with hell. Han probably realized that hell reward from Nvidia is coming, so before total destruction of the company they quit, which is a power move. This also means that cards from other "partners" will be total crap, because they will have to save as much as possible on quality to avoid big financial losses, so I will wait after detailed reviews and hardware evaluations before buying. FE will be probably ok, but not sold in my country.

Very good observation here 👀

This is really sad news, I have ONLY bought EVGA nVidia cards since I started building my own PCs, they've always been rock solid cards, not one has ever had an issue.

But given how nVidia are pricing the 40xx series cards and cheating their customers with the 4080 12GB card being really a 4070 spec but at 4080 pricing, and artificially limiting stock to keep pandemic-inflated prices, I can totally believe Jensen and upper-management treated EVGA badly. This might be the first time I look at an AMD card, nVidia have become beyond greedy at this point, I've lost all respect for them.

I've been thinking about this a lot since the speech. I have lost all respect for them, what little was left after the 30 series pricing.
If Andrew hadn't said it was personal I would have considered it a smart business move.

Also, I'm expecting the reviewers and testers to come up with real performance numbers. I think Jensen was way overstating the performance since the figures rely on the new DLSS version.

Like Nereus has said a few times , Jensen can stick the 40 series.

Edit: cleaned it up because I'm afraid I said something I shouldn't have. Sorry. Got emotional. I love this place and don't want to get in trouble.

So I called EVGA today, as I was mellowing out, in my back yard. I just happened to talk to the customer support individual who arranged for a large solid, from EVGA, concerning something I was worried about, a number of months back.
In my conversation I told them that I understood EVGA only wanted to be partnered with the BEST.
If that partnership had reached a point it was no longer worthwhile...
Why not create gpu's on a level that are marketable and worthwhile.
From a customer base of people who like EVGA and it services.
At a level that EVGA could provide (for the moment).
I wished them well and hoped they could learn to relax and enjoy life as it unfolds.
All of our futures are uncertain.

Has EVGA stated whether they will continue producing the 30 series as long as NVIDIA keeps making the boards, or is their supply of 30 series cards finite at this point?

Man this hurts TBH. Selecting GPUs was an easy choice cos EVGA never disappointed. Now I have to figure out who would be the next best maker now. Anyone have experience with other brands and what would you recommend?
