the fact they think a pelican case is worth $800 tells me more than I need to know.

I am assuming the 1690 with all of the custom cut foam to fit the case into the pelican without causing damage, but that is just a guess.

Just to chime in some math.

The E1 Barebones at 4999.99 doesn't make much sense compare to the Kit 1/Kit 2.

Assuming each item from their website:
  • E1 FRAME Set - 1599.99
  • RTX 3090 Ti K|NGP|N 2100.00 (3699.99 (Kit 1) - 1599.99(Kit 2))
  • PowerLink™ 52u - 59.99
  • VGA Vertical Kit - N/A (With the Case Combo) - Kit 2
  • MB Z690 DARK K|NGP|N - 599.99
  • PSU 1600 T2 - N/A (With the GPU Combo) - Kit 1
  • Premium Shipping Case - "Free" (With the Barebones)
Totals: $4359.97

The difference is about currently $640.00. Even without the Z690 rebate, the difference $410.00
Where does the $410.00 come from? Most likely the "free" Premium Shipping Case?

Seems strange unless someone corrects me otherwise.

Thanks for the math. It feels like they priced the package and then pulled out the memory and AIO....

Yeah, but the price for the case itself, $1600, is just crazy.

Yep, 1600 for case and vertical mount is a bit high imo.

Really love the look of this case. I was hoping to pick one up but geez that price tag... What are they smoking. Should have aimed for it to be 500-600.

Support for only one 360 radiator at that price point..uhh.  My completely acrylic case with a built in res and more rad support cost less then this.

The case with nothing else supports 1x 360mm radiator.  All options come with the VGA vertical kit, so it will include support for 2x 360mm radiators once configured.

I don't understand, the bare bones itself costs 1599? Do I have this correct? I don't mean to sound like a colossal prik but the E1 Frame set looks like anyone can build easily for a hundred bucks if not less no? I get it it's made of carbon fiber, but cmon.... 1500 bucks worth of carbon fiber for that frame set? I just don't see it...

Probably several hundred if you want it to be pretty. You can buy 1" carbon fiber tubing on Amazon for around $30 per meter, and then have a sheet metal shop cut you a motherboard mount (you'd need to design that part, of course). If you want some nice carbon fiber elbows/joints it's another couple hundred dollars. It wouldn't be quite as pretty as this, admittedly, but you could probably build a similar-ish case for about a third of this price.

I was waiting for this and really wanted it, but I was willing to spend like $1k CAD max, so this is well outside my potential budget. Looking more closely, this is probably a fairly complex part to mold especially with the joints for the motherboard suspension system. Looking at prices for stuff on RockWest Composites, this probably is expensive to produce.

I can see making duplicate using metal tubing and slapping a $250 price to it! That would sell like hot cakes!!!

Looks good, but I really just want the analogue gage set
