Today, a video showcasing Skull and Bones gameplay has leaked via Reddit, showcasing Ubisoft's upcoming pirate ship combat to game to the world. The footage is narrated, introducing the game to new players while revealing a lot of the game's content. The gameplay video below is 6 minutes long, and it only showcases ship-to-ship combat. Unlike Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Ubisoft's last pirate game with ship-to-ship combat, no footage of off-ship combat has been shown, implying that is is not a major part of the game. That said, some footage was shown which has a player controlled character exploring an island, gathering resources and shopping at markets. The game definately has off-ship elements. All content within Skull and Bones can be played solo, though gamers can play Skull and Bones online with friends. Players can ally with other pirates to take on stronger foes, or hunt each other if they desire. Unlike Assassin's Creed Black Flag, ship morale will be a big part of Skull and Bones. Captains will need to keep their crews well fed and hydrated to keep them on side. Failure to do so could result in a mutiny, where the crew could oust you as captain and take command of your ship.

Ubisoft last showcased Skull and Bones at E3 2018, and since then Ubisoft has said very little about the game. This week, Ubisoft has released a teaser for Skull and Bones, which tells gamers to "Keep your eyes on the horizon,,," suggesting that the game will be showcased again in the near future.

This looks very interesting.

Looks like a well thought out game with plenty of activity.

After Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag it seems like a game that would be a lot of fun with modern consoles technology since starting with black flag Ubisoft has done a good job with boat combat like this. The one thing though that has me wondering why this "leaked" is the fact Ubisoft might be planning on being sold and trying to look valuable to Microsoft or Sony.
