powder coating is all complete and it turned out great. there is a marbled texture and a chameleon colour shift with shimmers of red and gold, its palleon fire by prismatic powders. and it seems the 480mm rad fits on the psu side and has room to move left dependent on the type of fitting used on the right. so now i can buy some hose and fittings and some pump reservoir thingy.

thanks all, i too am pleased with the change in look. i got the motherboard in with the new gpus, a temporary psu and fresh windows 10 install and its all good. of course after windows installed the drivers win10 told me that connecting an sli bridge will improve performance... but i tried 2 of my 4-slot hb bridges and neither of them clear the fake power buttons on the gpus. i may have to look about in some boxes for a long enough ribbon style type, but i doubt i will even use sli. i still need to find connectors for the rad that will fit, but its not looking too good. there is only about 1cm of space from one of the outlets to the frame. the top pic was in the semi dark no flash, i love how the frame reflects the colours.

problem solved, easy solution. since i am not using the cd drive bay or the front panel assembly that mount on the right side on the back of the baseplate, the open section in the frame that is needed for access to them is not. i simply rotated the end section 180 and its clear sailing. i can run the hoses just outside of the frame if needed.

i looked about for some period specific vrm coolers but didn't find any for sale, so i ordered two heatkiller sw-x 60 which appear to be correct in width and length, just need holes drilled for mounting. i also ordered a pump/resovoir combo, so now its down to getting fittings, hose, flow meter and another d frame specific 120mm fan bracket. and a classy looking power supply.
