I don't want a Microsoft account, so I have to upgrade to 11 pro which means full install of everything, and its $180. Thus I will use windows 10 for next 4-5 years and draw out costs over long period of time as possible. Maybe even windows 12 be out by then!

Bought a win 11 pro key for $17 when i put together my 12900k system. Used the same hotmail account i've had for 20+ years. No regrets.

I upgraded my Surface Pro 6 yesterday, but didn't get to use it much after.
Only thing I don't like so far was that I could not move the task bar.

thanks for everyones input.   I too have been thinking about the upgrade.  My gaming PC is asking me to upgrade, whereas my other PC I sit at while watching TV doesn't have the hardware to do it.    Eventually it will happen I guess.

You don't have to upgrade unless you feel you need to.

Really no need.   I just came here to see what bells and whistles make it worth it and I see it's not much.

I’ve been using it since it dropped took a few hours to get used to the folder setups but now I couldn’t go back , can’t tell if anything runs better.

If Microsoft was smart they'd kill off the TPM requirement and quietly rename it Windows 10 22H2 and not tell anyone.

Just set up my Mrs' new laptop which came with Windows 11 Home. After playing with it a bit, it's functionally not that much different from W10, it just feels like a cosmetic / UI change for the most part. I'm left thinking "what was the point?" - other than to annoy everyone.

Some complaints:
Task bar icons and task bar itself can't be made smaller without regedit changes - I really dislike the fat default bottom taskbar with (relatively) large icons. Might be acceptable on a 27" monitor, but when viewed on a 15.6" laptop it's just way too much real estate wasted while serving absolutely zero functional purpose in doing so.
Can't get rid of the 'recommended' section in the start menu, so ~35% of the start menu is just wasted space. Some people might use that section but many won't, so make it optional.
Start menu customization is extremely limited.
I really don't like the centered task bar icons, fortunately MS added an option to shift them to the left.

I'm sure there will be a few more little issues along the way, but those are my first impressions.

No problems with printer drivers or anything else yet.

Laptop is a 15.6" Samsung Galaxy Book Pro with i7-1165G7 and Intel Iris XE graphics btw.
