Thanks in advance. I bought a x299 Dark and a 9820x used awhile back and the Bios had already been updated for the 9820x. Everything works great. Came across a 10980XE recently, and bought a new old-stock x299 to put it in, but it's unlikely that it shipped with the Bios updated, so I came here to order a Bios chip, but apparently, there are none left. I do not have a 7th Gen X cpu lying around. My question is, can I use the Bios chip off of my 1st x299 Dark to update my 2nd? I intend to keep both of them in service, but I can temporarily take my 1st rig off-line to accomplish this. If it's possible, how can I get instructions on how to do it? I'm not a noob, but I have very little experience with removable Bios chips.

No, I tried it before and it didn't work.

I just updated the x299 to the latest BIOS but now it won’t boot past the new EVGA bios screen where you have 4 options (enter setup, gamer mode, default mode, EVGA of robot). I setup all my options, so how do you get back to my damn Windows 10???

I figured it out. My boot priority got changed with the profile reset!

I bought a samsung m.2 nvme ssd 980 PRO and my FTW K recognizes it but out of nowhere the partition doesn't appear anymore and it shows size 0 Mb, I took it to the technician and as he has another card of a different model, the m.2 works normally with it. The technician formatted and installed windows, but when I put it in my board it only worked for a few moments and the same thing happened. I already updated bios to 1.29 and followed all steps in bios configuration. Is it incompatibility of the m.2 because it is pcie 4.0 and the ftw k is pcie 3.0?

First, this is a wrong thread for your question, you should've created your own thread. Second, I strongly doubt this is because your drive is PCIE 4.0 while slot is 3.0. PCIE standards are backward compatible and your number of lanes is same, so something else is likely going on.

Looks like everyone left town. No more bios, and support for these  boards, as with ones.  With all the other AIv's, EVGA was the only
one that can put out solid boards.  I am holding on the this one, and with 1.29, its all good here with 10980XE.
