I am watercooling my EVGA Rtx 3080 Ftw3 ultra and was wondering if anybody has used the bykski waterblock?
I'm trying to figure out the thermal pads, they have them for the VRAM, front/back and on the MOSFETs?
However they do not cool the gray blocks like the original cooler does, they say it's not needed.
Compared to EK, they use less thermal pads too.



Bykski also wants tiny thermal pads on these, but the default cooler and EK do not?


Looking at EK you can see what they cool


Do these areas EK uses thermal pads on need them, or is it just extra? Bykski does not use thermal pads on several areas whereas EK does.
