This was updated last year. All shipping units are fully compatible with 3000 series.

Were the 850W GA's sold as b-stock on evga.com and evga_official ebay.com ok as well?

A little late to the party, but my older 850GA (12/2020) started tripping it's overcurrent when I up graded my GPU to a 3080TI.

Same here. It took me 2-3 weeks (after I got my 3080 Ti) trying everything to figure this out and eventually found multiple threads about this issue. PC would reboot whenever I'm playing game within minutes even on default settings. Glad it's not issue with the GPU.
I've put a RMA. My PSU is SuperNOVA 850 GA (220-GA-0850-X1) from last year.

Is there a way to identify the updated units (a revised P/N or something?) so customers can know whether they purchased one? And to be clear, this update addressed the issue with the tripping/shutting down on occasion when paired with the more powerful 3000 series GPUs under load?

Thank you. It is difficult to find information on any sort of update or revision to this model regarding the 3000 series GPU issue, so any information you're able to provide would likely help many customers.

By serial number.  If it's a new retail purchase, check the serial number.  If the number starts with 21, then it's the newer modified unit.  If it starts with 20, then I would need the full serial number to check.  Don't post the serial number here, however.  Either register it to your account or get to 10 posts and send me a PM with your serial number.

If I was just shipped an RMA replacement (OCP problems with 750GA and 3080) and the replacement serial number starts in 19, is that going to be a problem? Or were older units reconditioned/updated to have different OCP logic?
