Have the issues with the SuperNOVA GA series and RTX 3000 series been fixed? I was forced to take an unwanted and unneeded SuperNOVA 850 GA in the Newegg Shuffle in order to get a GPU and want to know if all the issues with the transient power response issues with the GA series discovered late last year were corrected in manufacturing and if so, what revision number and/or manufacturing date does the fix start with so I can verify I’ve received a non-defective unit.

As an FYI the PSU was advertised as an 850 G5 but was shipped the GA. When I asked about it they claimed they had advertised GA (just NO) and did not have a G%. I could get a $10.00 credit or send the entire bundle back. I will likely NOT do business with them again.

I am in the same type of boat ( but with a Newegg bundle ) , had to buy the combo w/ EVGA 850 GA ...so I'm debating keeping it or selling it .?

Same. I too won and purchased the newegg bundle with card and 850w SunperNova GA Power Supply. Like the others have said has it been fixed? Or can I send it to EVGA as sort of an RMA for an equivalently priced 850W Non GA model?

I am hoping that is the case, I just bought a bundle from antonline and they bundled that specific PSU with it. If it works with no random issues, then we are good to go, if not I guess I will reach out to EVGA for  RMA. However, please checkout the recent reviews on newegg as people seem to still be having this issue with the 3080 and up

jonnyGURU also criticizes these specific PSUs as early as July this year saying their voltage regulation is a "yo-yo".

"Low load to high load voltage drop.
You take the PSU's highest voltage output.  And the lowest output.  You find the percentage of drop.  This is "voltage regulation".   The voltage should stay as close to nominal as possible.  This one is a yo yo."

That's good to hear. Keeping an eye out for issues. However, I am curious if EVGA has a problem with the units being advertised and sold as G5 units rather than GA as Antonline seems to have done (and denied)?

A little late to the party, but my older 850GA (12/2020) started tripping it's overcurrent when I up graded my GPU to a 3080TI.

Can you elaborate on what has changed on the model?
