There is no way they had the Z590 Dark running 5333MHz memory stable before release.
Not doable with BIOS 1.05, or even with the current 1.06 version, it's all BS!
I pulled the Z590 Dark board out of my chassis, it's back on the bench,.. thinking about using it for a doner board and re-cap my old Asus P5E64 WS Evolution board.
Ordered Asus M13A board last week, should have it on Monday.
I was going to skip RL and just cruise with my M12E system till 12th Gen release, but figured 5333, 5600 or even 5866 would be sweet, it will be the last hoorah with DDR4.
My forward motion future educated guess is the EVGA Z590 Dark will NEVER be capable of 5333Mhz memory stable.
Because EVGA simply does not have the man hours or the money to tune the Hynix DJR memory into the bios. Tin jumped off a sinking ship.
I wouldn't say never, as the board does indeed have the capability to run 5333+ stable,.. with the correct BIOS updates. Best I could do with Samsung B-die 4800MHz kit was 5100MHz stable, and the memory trained vary well, was not an issue tightening all timings going up from XMP 4800MHz, system was stable up to 5100MHz. And with the Micron-die 5100MHz kit, the system would not boot Windows in XMP, could be manually tuned up to 5100 and boot windows but never fully stable,.. lowering Micron-die kit down to 4800 the system did not respond/train well, 4600 was best with the Micron-die kit. So the BIOS does need some tweaking. I don't have any Hynix-die memory,.. most of my kits are Samsung B-die, perhaps twenty kits from 3000MHz up to 4800MHz, the board does seem to work well with the B-die.
