Glad you edited out the 3rd paragraph of your comment there Webster, I was about to go off at you.

It's ok man, I know I'm disappointed with EVGA Z590 from my Z390 Dark wonderful experience.

You are a good man.

Z490 Dark was a very good board too.

There is no way they had the Z590 Dark running 5333MHz memory stable before release.

Not doable with BIOS 1.05, or even with the current 1.06 version, it's all BS!

I pulled the Z590 Dark board out of my chassis, it's back on the bench,.. thinking about using it for a doner board and re-cap my old Asus P5E64 WS Evolution board.

Ordered Asus M13A board last week, should have it on Monday.

I was going to skip RL and just cruise with my M12E system till 12th Gen release, but figured 5333, 5600 or even 5866 would be sweet, it will be the last hoorah with DDR4.

My forward motion future educated guess is the EVGA Z590 Dark will NEVER be capable of 5333Mhz memory stable.

Because EVGA simply does not have the man hours or the money to tune the Hynix DJR memory into the bios. Tin jumped off a sinking ship.

I wouldn't say never, as the board does indeed have the capability to run 5333+ stable,.. with the correct BIOS updates.  Best I could do with Samsung B-die 4800MHz kit was 5100MHz stable, and the memory trained vary well, was not an issue tightening all timings going up from XMP 4800MHz, system was stable up to 5100MHz. And with the Micron-die 5100MHz kit, the system would not boot Windows in XMP, could be manually tuned up to 5100 and boot windows but never fully stable,.. lowering Micron-die kit down to 4800 the system did not respond/train well, 4600 was best with the Micron-die kit. So the BIOS does need some tweaking. I don't have any Hynix-die memory,.. most of my kits are Samsung B-die, perhaps twenty kits from 3000MHz up to 4800MHz, the board does seem to work well with the B-die.

All those Hynix high speed DJR DDR4 speeds are so very sweet let me give them to you, lol.

I'm running 5866 5600 and even the silly so slow 5333Mhz with just a few clicks in bios.

EVGA should list the Z590 Dark board as ONLY 4800Mhz capable. Because that's what it is!

i tested an obscene number of ram kits and 4800 is where I ended up.  I tend to agree with your assessment.

If it's not to much trouble,.. could you PM me those Hynix profiles, and I will give them a go this weekend.

Received the new M13A board today, I'll be loading OS, some B-die memory profiles next few days, and will have F4-5333C22D-16GVK Hynix kit on Friday.

Edit: Thanks, XMP 1 5333MHz profile works great!  https://imgur.com/qrl1fFV

5866MHz is smooth as warm butter on hot toast. https://imgur.com/ZgMuabQ

I seem to be having memory issues on the Z590 Dark. I have G Skill 3600 (F4-3600C14D-32GTZRA) set in gear 1. Thing is, if I set it to XMP Profile 1 I fail memtest86 but not consistently. I pass sometimes and then on a second run I fail (it does feel random when I pass and fail). So now comes the weird part, if I set the timings manually, 14-14-14-34 1.45v, and leave everything else to auto I pass memtest86 every dang time. I'm currently messing with SAV and VCCIO_AUX settings but I'm still failing when set to XMP Profile 1 and bumping up the voltage.

I'm feeling at this point I should RMA the G Skill RAM once again. Or is this more of a motherboard BIOS issue?

Thanks for the help, I really do not understand why I'm having such issues with the Z590 series.

Can you test with just one stick of RAM (closest to cpu socket) and try XMP?  you should have NO problem with 3600.  it could be something bugged in the XMP profile which has been reported here recently.

don't get me started on the z590 dark ram business.  very frustrating.

note* if it runs perfectly with manual settings what's the problem?  instead of worrying about XMP push those bastards to 3733 and fly.

damn.  I hate ASUS but this is dope......     EVGA really needs to get the Z590 BIOS sorted....  and I bet they have already moved on.
