Still have this new system set up on my bench table....
3080Ti OC (not too extreme as still on air) +165 / +1100 for some runs, some runs 120 / 675...
No OC at all on the CPU, just XMP enabled.

Will be finishing up the test bench stuff over the next few days then install into my 900D with Loop,,,Velocity 2 and Vector Water Blocks..Rads RX 480, RX 360 and EX 240

Now put it in a case, and run AC Valhalla on it for a few hours in England area.. If you are stable at anything over +75 on core, let me know :). Every other game +120 works fine, not for valhalla.

I had no issues running Valhalla or any other AAA Title with 3080Ti OC'd to +135 / +900 on my 9900K...anything more and I would get crashes with RDR2....not Valhalla though....if you're crashing Valhalla with GPU OC'd above +75 its called "Silicone Lottery" .....this build is simply swapping out platforms n OS....

Thanks for reminding me to "put it in a case" ;) Good one...
Note - I'm on full Custom Loop not air....

Because of thermal Tiers. The hotter you run lower your frame reliability. Higher the crashes.

For Valhalla you need 99% frame reliability in timespy extreme stress test.

I played for month at +120 , cyberpunk, metro, ac odyssey etc. 100% stable. And I was at 98.4% frame reliability in time spy extreme stress test. For Valhalla you need over 99% in it.

I was hitting 99.5% in port Royal and timespy, which is not good enough for Valhalla.

It’s called game to game gpu feature usage and tolerance variance.

This is my best run with the card on stock air cooler https://www.3dmark.com/spy/25434185.  I am not doing any overclocking on my Threadripper 2950x and haven't really optimized anything for specific performance on my system.  I did overclock the card so far without any way of getting it to crash using a custom curve to try to maintain an average boost around 2000MHz (peak of ~2040MHz).  It's the top GPU score for a system comparable to mine.  Obviously I am not going to be hitting numbers that folks get with their 5950x but this is quite good.  It's basically double what I was getting with the 1080 Ti.  Thermals are what is holding me back from squeezing out more.  I have plenty of voltage room but once thermals go up in to the 70C+ range the card starts to hit peak power and throttles down.

If you're on air you're limited.....the warmer it gets the less it will boost.....its that simple ;)...and of course how good your chip is (silicone lottery)......I'm actually impressed with this 3080Ti w stock air cooler.....no issues keeping it at or around 70c w custom fan curve..under water it wont see anything higher than around 42c.

I get my hybrid kit tomorrow! Can't wait for nice and quiet gaming! Little concerned about the vram though. It's been nice and cool at a max of 78C. But the moment I take the air cooler off, the thermal putty won't be perfect anymore. So even with a hybrid kit, I expect VRAM temps to creep into the high 80s.

Lol! All good. You will understand when you run into it.

Till then good luck and see what your time spy extreme stress test results are at +120 on core. Let me know if you can hit over 99%.

Wayy ahead of you man.....I have already been thru all of this prior to switching from 9900K Maximus XI-Extreme to Z690 Apex n 12900K....same GPU ....I'll run a TS Extreme test at +165 / +1150 ;)

Only thing holding me back right now is the stock air cooler......this same Card with my Vector Waterblock hit an OC wall at +190 / +1350 .....

Lol!!! Yes you are. I am sure you know that there is a difference between time spy extreme Stress test and time spy extreme right. Just wished to make sure.
