Yeah this RMA replacement card came with original vbios.(both dated April 2021)....whether it means anything or not my Card that crapped the bed started having issues about a week after installing PX and updating vbios / fw to see if resize bar helped at all......
I may just leave this vbios alone this time ;)

All 3080ti vbios have reBar. No need to update for that. I'm running the hybrid bios linked in the sticky on this forum. C7/C8. Normal/OC.

Hi everyone. I may be late to the party, but I just got a 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA LHR for slightly over MSRP. I'm quite happy.

The problem is, I switched to the OC bios, yet I CONSTANTLY hit power limit on anything over 400 watts? I literally, specifically chose this card because it was listed as one of the very few 450 watt 3080 TI cards and I thought for sure I can set this to run at a rock solid 2025MHz.

I'm in Gardians of the Galaxy playing and the moment my card goes over 400 watts, the clock speed immediately drops below 2000 or even 1900 MHz sometimes.

Please tell me how I can get the full 450 watts that was advertised or flash it to a 500 watt bios if that will actually give me 450 watts of headroom?

Thank you for any help on this!

PS: beautiful card and best RGB implementation imo

This has been covered before. The card under reports total power in the monitoring apps by 30 watts or so. It normally gets close to 450w in more demanding games, but will show 410-430w in GPUZ/HWINFO.

There's no 500w bios for 3080ti. Just the Galax 1kw bios for a higher PL. But it's not a daily driver and definitely use at your own risk.

But the only solid core clock in able to lock in at is like 1920mhz.. darn lol.

EDIT: Ty Talon for the quick answer. I appreciate it.

NP. Don't get too concerned about it. I just finished some cool weather PR runs. This is stock bios vs Galax,

But mine severely down clocks at anything over 2020mhz. Yours stock is showing over 2100mhz.

Is yours liquid cooled? How are you getting the OC? Just pushing slider +200 etc. or going in and adjusting the voltage curve (alt+f in afterburner)?

Converted my 3080 Ti  FTW3 to a hybrid. Even at this temps are good. Memory junction max 80. Gpu temp max 61. Hot spot max 74.
+120 Core
+1000 memory

Well those runs aren't a good example for comparing clocks. What I ran there is not 100% stable. I do have the hybrid kit. I was just showing how little the extra power gains. Both of those runs are ragged edge for stability so it's more or less apples to apples.

It's all good.. I may get the hybrid kit eventually, but I'm worried to mess up the thermal putty when pulling off the air cooler.

Also, what if I install the 1K Galax bios, but move the power slider back to limit it to just 500 watts or like 525 watts? Is that possible?
