I knew it would be bad; but EVGA should have been better prepared...they knew what was coming...they saw the Elite membership spike better than anybody….  For what it is worth, JacobF tweeted:
 
 

I don’t see why they would extend it. You can’t even notify for the lowest priced XC Ultra card at $1199.

It was so bad, I could not login to access the forums lol; and I did not want to purchase the 3080ti at all.  I only got in now....

I think its now down to luck.  Kinda sad...

Probably the oddest part for me was that for the first hour, even if you managed to load an auto-notify page it would throw up an error related to using multiple tabs/browsers on the store. Frankly, while the scope of the downtime was beyond expectation, the sudden inability to set a notify even if you got past that was the most absurd part.

I would say they have far more than 100 cards.

I think this card has been in the works for a few months now and EVGA would have learned from the last launch they did that supply and demand were the focal points of those launches. Even with my number being in the 07:22 range I think it'll be a couple of weeks at most.

The forums were down for a long time.  I guess it was to be expected.  You have all the elite, all the other shoppers who didn't realize it was elite only, as well as those millions, who, because it is release day, are hitting every retailer including EVGA to see if there is a chance to purchase a card.  Throw in the bots who are trying to get in, doing the same thing at every retailer, but a heck of a lot faster, and you have the entire site being hit.

Early on I managed to get a few windows loaded but couldn't sign up for notifs because I had multiple tabs open. Then after struggling to get a SINGLE tab to load, I was still getting the multi-tab error. Eventually I got it to load again but this time I got different errors. By the time the page was loading semi-consistently, after 7:20 am when people started to get in, it took me another 20-30min of errors until my sign up went through. It didn't help that every time a sign up failed I had to refresh the page again. What's hilarious is by that time they stopped requiring a single tab to be open. So that whole stupid barrier was pointless in the end. It was a horrible experience and I wasn't even having sign in issues like many others were. How could they be so unprepared for this? They KNEW it was going to be like this and it seems like they did nothing to prepare, other than making things more difficult.
