We realize there are many of you trying to hit 100 posts to get Elite status, but for the love of God STOP THE DAMN NECROPOSTING! There are plenty of active threads you can use to spam on that don't involve digging up old threads wishing someone a happy birthday 8 weeks after the fact, or posting "May the Fourth Be With You, huehuehue" a month later, or making some inane comment from a month-old thread about a Chinese rocket falling out of orbit, or posting one word like "yes" or "good" or "interesting" on threads from a year ago, or posting the exact same off-topic question on multiple threads.. that's just SPAM and imo should be deleted and reset your post count to negative 100 for being a douche.
 
There are plenty of active threads you can use for spam - here's a few for example:

four word game
five word game
word association game

I fully agree. I'm trying to get up to 100 posts as well, but it's not just the necroposting that's annoying, it's all the spam comments that hold no weight that are annoying. At least try to have some form of meaningful interaction to get your post count up.

Definitely search for info and don't necro and oldie for posts count, simple as that.

I am working on the 100 too but trying to be somewhat meaningful at the same time.

I wasn't sure what was meant by necroposting ... took the risk and clicked .  Thanks for putting this out there Nereus for those looking to boost their post counts.  It's going to be nice when tomorrow comes and goes so that things settle down a bit around here with spam posts and spam flagging.
