Now my quest continues to figure out whats wrong....

Update:

tried hdmi from ps3 to tv, did not work. Tried changing source.

Tried g4900 cpu. No luck unless its dead which means like 9700k maybe is too. lmao

Maybe I can use the i3 8100 but not g4900 or pentium gold cpus for this mobo.

I'm sure ram is dead cuz neighbor or usps delivery worker threw my ram next to the trash can. Can't figure what to do for now. Im sure there was little to no padding for this. Waiting on relative on his ddr4 3600 mhz ram and test that

My ram actually qualifies for qvl on gskills site. Ram is f4-3200c16d-16gtzb

Update:
Tried RAM from my relatives pc. No luck. He uses AMD Ryzen configged RAM. Its not compatible or listed suitable for my intel z370 chipset mobo. It will work on evga z490 though.

The ram is:
G.Skill TridentZ Rgb Neo F4-3600C18D-32GTZN.

My original sticks of ram are:
G.Skill TridentZ F4-3200-C16D-16GTZB
^ These are compatible.

I tried the Intel Celeron G4900 cpu. Same issue with i7 9700k.

I took out my Samsung 970 evo plus 512gb nvme ssd. It has same issue on top of like 4-6 extra short beeps. The 5 beeps I've been complaining about are long beeps. The short beeps come first then the 5 long beeps that I normally get.

I'm really out of luck atm. I figure unless the ram is damaged and incompatible ram might make this same noise...?

Maybe everyone was wrong and i3 8100 cpu is the lowest cheapest cpu i can get for flashing this and g4900 are not compatible.

Don't forget to return your G4900
No way for you to test a 8350K or 8600K/8700K from a friend ? They will be directly supported by your mobo even with an early bios

Yep returning tomorrow with return shipping label. Gonna get a i5 8500.

Friend has a i7 7700k but no 8th gen cpus

If you look up amazon for z370 micro from evga someone bought one in 2018 I think. His name is FLASH. Says something about d6 error too. He said he resolved it by buying a 8th gen cpu. Funny how g4900 doesn't work -_-. I saw online a user used g4900-5600 to flash bios for his ftw.

Ok fine, hope that all will work with your next 8500... Yeah i realize that Evga as regards motherboards is sooner picky with cpus and doesn't have a range as wide as the other manufacturers... I'm satisfied with my Z390 FTW which works flawlessly for 2 years 1/2 now, but i think that my next DDR5 mobo in the near 2-3 years will be another brand, easier to find in France, since i had to import that one... and less picky for cpu range wise...
Indeed, if you had a Z370 Gigabyte/MSI/Asus/ASRock board, you wouldn't have encountered all those issues since they would have been able to boot up with your 9700K (even not recognized in the bios) and you just would have had to update it for a full recognition and would have been ok

Yeah... Do you absolutely need a micro atx board ? Because if your next i5-8500 won't be able to boot up your z370 micro to make your bios update you could eventually sell it back in order to buy a full atx z370/390 one (they are more common) to at last enjoy your powerful 9700K

I use a caselabs s5. The biggest boards are mATX I can accept. I love the form factor too. Itx has only 1 expansion slot. If you need any more you're SOL. While ATX is way too many. mATX is just right. :) i think 9th gen z300 chipset is truly the best for this. Not too old not too new. Imo just right for incase ocing, problem is this mobo has issues with like 3-4 problems that evga has not fixed.

1. LLC toggle option for more options rather than just a enable for I think 80mv more or something is lame. I read that online.

2. Current throttle is an issue on this too I believe so is x299 mATX micro.

3. Hopefully it has hpet toggle in uefi to disable. I want that bad.

4. Not sure what else to complain... rgb and all that other stuff is unnecessary for me.

Ok... you've got a mini case and you do like µatx boards... i hate them as well as mini itx... i only like full/standard atx and E-atx boards lol...
Tell us when your 8500 will be coming and your results... but if it doesn't work no other way to change your mainboard or if you really do want to keep it you will have to sell your 9700K back and purchase a 8700K/8600K which are supported

Yea, i love mATX cases and mobos. standards are too big, i had a mATX g1 sniper m5 in a Corsair 650D then to a 750D which are mid towers and full tower cases. They look odd af when a mATX is in there. I made a big mistake and kinda regretted getting a mATX mobo at the time but Gigabyte did not have any green scheme mobos around June 2013. They only have i think a EATX and mATX and i got the cheaper mATX for around $200 USD. After 4-5 months, Gigabyte released the ATX version, i felt so upset but i don't regret it these days because realizing that mATX is my favorite form factor after that mistake. Problem is the case size. I'm happy i got this case for like $275 on eBay, total shipped :)

I like EVGA mobos, i hope this really does fix the problem. CPU should be coming around Friday earliest, maybe Saturday or Monday/Tuesday. I'll update when i get it and try to see if it POSTs so i can do a BIOS Flash. Thanks guys. Everyone that's commented on other posts about EVGA mobos d6 error 5 beeps never finish their thread about what they did to fix it. Typically they left majority of the fix out of the equation &/or gave up completely and sold the mobo for a ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI or something.

Prefer 9700k for OC & prefer 9th over 8th gen. Hoping some day i might OC the heck out of this or Win-raid will give some BIOS mods to update this mobo's BIOS with extra features. They do that you know... :) i got hpet toggle on my G1 Sniper M5, they typically don't have that and NVMe support on z87.
