Looks like only two RAM slots on the Dark? Is that normal?

Yes. The board was supposed to be focus on extreme overclocking and the two dimm slots was discussed on the first page of comments, so not rehashing something that is at the beginning of the thread.

Not even a 2.5G NIC? So much for future-proofing, looks like I'll need to take up a PCIe slot with a NIC in a year or two.

the dark motherboard has 2 2.5 GBps NIC, though the ftw one only has 1 gigabit, if that's the one you're talking about.

I am a little disappointed the Wi-Fi version does not go to Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.2..

I hope there are early 3rd party reviews of Rocket Lake and some idea of prices released. That would help people decide how much of the "spam F5 is your life now" game they want to play for this release. Or we could be told whether or not there will be availability for these parts in relation to the other recent releases. I would hate to jump in and buy everything, then find out that it's bad when I could have waited for reviews....or wait for reviews, find out it is worth it, then have to wait 4 months for availability, at which point you should maybe just keep waiting. That said, the marketing from intel seemed to suggest that Alder Lake is not intended to take the gaming crown from Rocket Lake. I don't think it'll be a slouch, but maybe not take the performance crown while they're targeting efficiency and workstation users with those.

VRM of Z590 Dark have got 90A on element, like a Z490 Dark, or 100A like a last tendention at Z590 - Gigabyte Z590 Xtreme a example?
And E-ATX i hope? Not typical ATX.
I wish to take last architechture on DDR4 - maybe Rocket-Lake will be. I hope his performance be better then first leaks and reviews.

Did they have a release date on the Z590 boards yet?

Rocket lake was confirmed to be 20 PCIe lanes. So that's x4 lanes for these boards to utilize. Doubled-edged sword though, because it means even though Rocket Lake works in Z490 boards they won't get those extra x4 PCIe lanes. And to be clear, Intel already officially confirmed Alder Lake is launching at the end of this year. Z690 or whatever they call it will require DDR5 and won't be compatible with Rocket lake or older CPUs.

Yea i wish this was the release time for Alder Lake.. I'm ready to upgrade but damm twice in one year feels like I'm building two PC's, And if Alder Lake be the chip we been finally waiting for I'm gonna flip out.

Last question, what form factor do you think these boards will be?  ATX or E-ATX?

THE EVGA Z590 FTW WIFI is ATX.

The Dark looks EATX, based on where the motherboard mounting holes are, but article does not state that.
