I recently ordered another Nu Audio Pro from Amazon.ca however I noticed other shops like NewEgg and CanadaComputers sell the bare card. (For some reason it's never in stock at any of these places)
I have no use for the surround card and would have been nice to save a few bucks.

Why isn't the standalone card 712-P1-AN11-KR offered directly from EVGA also?

The stand alone card is there, but it not much less than the 7.1 combo. I paid less for both cards.

Because they are most likely discounting the Pro version and want to get rid of existing stock
I say this because there has been no driver updates for the Pro version but the older card is still getting updates
I regret buying this card

Hmmm I'm going to ask them directly because if that's the case, it's total BS.
There should be laws against this type of bad business practice. The card just came out a year ago.

**** did I just spend 350$ on this?

The last driver update was on  3-05-2020
If you look at my posts in this thread you can see how they deny its discontinued and driver updates are coming
It looks to me that they are trying to dump stock

I received the EVGA official answer so I will not be worried (for now).
That said, are there any critical issues with the 3-05-2020 driver that needs to be updated ASAP? Because if so, then yes I could see it as a problem.

Hello,

The card is not discontinued, however due to certain circumstance (Covid-19), we do not have an ETA on further shipments at this time.

Thank You,
Rob
