was not able to go above 2190/2170 mhz at all, idk what I was doing wrong had voltages pegged higher then Dabadger from when he was doing the tool to get 15.7k or so, and yet not able to touch 2.2 without crashing benchmark, even with memory lowered to 1200-1400 from my normal 1500

I’m following along with your progress! Is there a different version ln2 520w bios for the hydro copper? I have the hybrid kp and installed the copper block.

Something funky has been going on w/ the bios' for these cards from day one IMHO.

It's because the firmware is different would be my guess.  It's a different SKU, slightly different firmware, so the BIOSes for the 3998, while they will work with the 3999 (most likely), you'll have to manually do it with NVFlash because the provided tools to update the ReBar BIOS or any of that probably won't work for the 3999 that are designed for the 3998.
 
Kinda silly, but it is what it is - same thing happened with the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid vs regular cards - not sure if it's the same way for FTW3 vs Hybrid vs HC, since the HC regular 3090s/3080s are rare a-f right now.

I had the 1000w xoc bios for the 3998 flashed if I wasn't clear enough
It seems to be flaky with the various controls and sensor readouts plus the mismatched firmware/bios messing with x1 means I will be patient 😆

I was referring to all bios' for all SKU's of the KPE. Something been funky since day one for me, for example the LN2 bios hits PL at 430W for me so I'm basically forced to use XOC for daily driving.

If you dig around the original XOC bios isn't hard to find. I don't think anybody has the BAR-enabled XOC bios though, if they do... nobody has leaked it.
