Lower core temps results in lower mem temps on backside chips
Plus lower core temps means less power uses, and more stable clocks

Got my Hydro Copper in!! Swapped from AIO to block, used liquid metal and 12.8w/mk pads. On it's own loop w/360 60mm rad in push + pull. Classified tool used, and on OLD version of 3dmark before anyone asks.

Think I have a nice piece of silicon here! :)

Wow! that is crazy good, What was your core max before swap?

I got my block in, but not sure I would gain much with it. So debating just keeping it around in case AIO fails. My effective core max is like 2205.

Should be noted he's running 1.16V on the core which is higher than most of us are.

Yup, only mess with the voltage if you know what you are doing, can control the temps, and have a good PSU.

I’m actually really happy hitting those clocks with only 1.16 to the core! Seen people pushing 1.18-1.24 and not able to go above 2235Mhz.

I will post my ‘daily driver’ settings and scores at some point.

I am just hitting such a hard wall trying to go over 2205 starting at 8C with portable AC blasting through radiator in a very cold room that I do not think the block
will do anything for me. I gained about 100-110 MHZ on my Strix after installing block, but that was hitting 60-70 on the air cooler.

The block will drop core temps easily 10c+ irrc, Dabadger has pushed both AIO and HC blocks so he would know better lol, just ask him for numbers before and after with and without extra heatsink on backside of card

I have been following Dabadger's thread, as well as Clovis, Good stuff! I'll be putting my block on I guess.
Just not expecting much.

Ppl have been telling me they see over 500w on pr with 520w but I guess I’ve got a dud

You'll need to push voltages in order to see that kind of power draw in a PR run.

What's your max OC score using stock out of the box settings (LN2 bios, max power/voltage sliders)?

This was my best before the update that messed with the scoring.
ln2, maxed powerlimit and core slider.

Is there a kp hydro copper ln2 bios? Havent seen it on techpower up.
I need to format pc, ill report back tomorrow with my findings.
