This is the best I have done, pretty mundane compared to others...  LN2 BIOS, +1450/+187, on FL 40F air...

15199 is #4 leaderboard for 5900X and 3090, so I am pretty happy.

I think I've come up with a pretty good idea.  Flash the LN2 520W BIOS on to the OC switch position that I won't use otherwise anyway, and then put the "other" BIOS on the LN2 switch position... that way I can fiddle with it when I want to & not have to reflash the 520W when I'm done.  Or just put that BIOS on the OC position.  Same difference.

Has anyone else had the problem I'm having?

Basically, I cannot get my card to perform as it should about 99% of the time.  Only once was I able to get some 15.4k runs out of +150/+1250 - since then, I haven't even been able to consistently hit 15k.
I've tried switching BIOSes, switching drivers, with clean installs & full DDU wipes in between, nothing seems to make any difference, since the day I magically got those 15.4k runs, haven't been able to get anything close since.  I tried replicating the exact things I did to get those runs too - I uninstalled the drivers I was running, ran DDU, rebooted, installed the 457.51s, tested on those (which ran like garbage, coincidentally), uninstalled those & ran DDU, rebooted, went back to the 461.40 drivers, and ran the benchmark - only got 14.9k with the same exact settings for CPU/RAM & GPU that got 15.4k before.  All background processes that I closed before were closed this time.

Am I missing something, or is everyone experiencing this & it's all about whether or not your Windows decides to play nice during your runs or not?

Have you used classified tool before? Sometimes when you hit default it still keep the settings before and it gets stuck in low MSVVDD. I'd recommend to hit default then turn your pc off and disconnect power until all lights are gone. Then set your offset OC +150/1250 (don't touch v/f curve) and use both dipswitches on the back of the card for NVVDD and MSVVDD. You should be able to hit 15K.

Yep, tried that, didn't work.  I tried setting voltages back to around what stock is (I think) in classified tool, shutting down, making sure all the power is out of the system, then powering back up - I've tried both the higher power BIOSes, switching between them & powering down, still no joy, cannot even hit 15k consistently with those clocks after hitting 15.4k for 3 straight runs the one day.

I just don't get it.  I did get voltages that SEEM to be stable (enough for benchmark runs, not stable stable) at the next clock-rates up (+165 core) but that's really pointless if I can't even get my score to be what it should be at +150.  At +150 core +0 mem I got all of 14.6k which is just absurd.

I know I had the dipswitches the way they are now the night I hit those high scores, so it's not that.  And it was definitely on the 461.40 drivers: https://www.3dmark.com/pr/826610 & https://www.3dmark.com/pr/826721 both of those were with Afterburner & GPUz still open in the background so they weren't even "as fast as I can get them" runs - and I cannot replicate them no matter what I try.
I've tried the switching BIOS positions, powering down, draining power, powering back up, letting Windows sit for a bit, powering back down, switching back to the LN2 520W BIOS, then trying again, that doesn't do anything for me apparently, tried switching drivers then reverting with DDU in between again.  Nothin' helps... and that 400+ point gap between what I get now and what I got on that one day just keeps being a thing.

Edit: Guess I'll try reverting the dipswitches though I seriously have not seen them have any effect what so ever in any way shape or form since I changed them... seriously doubt that's going to help any, but who knows.

So, update from last night's testing before I gave up: Dipswitch reversion did not help.

I've now tried replicating the circumstances that led to the jump in performance, driver changes with DDU etc, did not work.
Tried different BIOS switch positions with shut downs in between, did not result in the performance increase.
Reverted dipswitches to stock, and much like when I changed them to begin with, zero effect noticeable.

The only GOOD thing so far is apparently +1000 vRAM is actually "stable" - it passed TimeSpy Extreme Stress Test with 98.9%, and Port Royal Stress Test with 99.4%, and it got hammered with 2 hours of Cyberpunk with no crashes & no visual issues as far as I noticed - this was with the visual settings all maxed, Ray-Tracing all on & the last setting on Psycho, with DLSS on Quality - so basically the game looking graphically as great as it can and hammering the GPU as much as possible, and it had no issues, despite running 2160MHz @ 1068mV (typically it was running at 2145-2160) & +1000 Memory, with no Classified Tool.  I'm quite happy with that, especially considering the temps are still totally fine, highest GPU temp was 52C, Mems were in the 50.9C on the lowest to 65C on the highest, with a Mem Junction Temp of 72C peak (it was typically in 66C-70C range when I was looking at it, I have it in the OSD for MSI Afterburner via HWInfo64 now) & the VRMs peaked at 38C on the lowest & 54.5C on the highest.  So considering it's running +120/+1000, the card is running pretty cool, hopefully those temps will go down even more once I get the next round of heatsinks on the back plate.

But, yeah, benchmarking performance is back to being stuck at around 14.9k max with +150/+1250 for no apparent reason.

If anyone has any suggestions for other things to try to see if I can get it back to where it should be, I'll give'em a try.

There really is a first time for almost everything... from saying vertically mounting GPUs is silly to:

:-D Bracket that came with my case for vertically mounting is incompatible with the riser cable... so it's being suspended purely by the 2 slot-bracket screws & the lil' insert nubs.  Riser cable is completely free - but stock vs stock without the cable, scored about the same at stock clocks - and thanks to some lil' heatsinks installed on the back of the card temps are even a bit better too (4-6C cooler on 2 of the 3 Memory iCX sensors and cooler across the board by 1-2C elsewhere, probably mostly as a result of less PCB heatsoaking from the vRAM).

I need more heatsinks though, this is almost the entirity of the kit I received - I thought they would be bigger O_o not height wise, but like... size wise. lol

They're on via thermal tape, so I couldn't re-align them to be all nice & neat, but it definitely seems like they're doing a decent enough job based on those temp drops on comparable runs.  There is an EK Vardar fan behind the GPU (in between it & the riser cable, lol) blowing air over the lil' heatsinks.
Not bad for $11 invested in aluminum. lol

I like that! Your system looks really clean! Is there any fan directly at them?

Well, after some tinkering around, ram OC insight, and reading all 20 of these pages back and forth for insight I'm sitting a bit more comfortably now with my PR score.

Well now that I've moved off of my 5900 and back onto intel, I expect you to take my #3 spot relatively soon
