Fair enough, well, in that case idk if throwing your entire PC out the window constitutes "exotic cooling" but here's my PR with the stock cooler, no re-paste or anything. Temp outside was ~5 C based on my intake temp probe.

Edit: lol nvm, cant post links due to low posts and cant embed an image either. imgur.com/a/Tlm9HfM you can punch it into your browser if interested...

You're not alone. Not a KP, but note my average temp. Lol.

If I tried that, my temps would go up.

Woof, must have been quite chilly! It was only 5 degrees here so I felt comfortable enough keeping it out there without danger of the water freezing. No idea if the solution in the KP hybrid cooler is glycol based, but didn't want to risk it. I guess the PR link is:  www.3dmark.com/pr/1430739 for those who care, its 34 degrees average GPU temp. Soon as I can get my hands on my Optimus block I expect I can push it a bit higher considering the VRAM was finicky even with the mild temp fluctuation (was about 50-60 degrees in the test).

Water temp was about 3 to 5C on that run if I remember correctly. It's a Zotac 3090 in a Heatkiller V block. KP 1kw bios. So it says EVGA at least. Lol

Finally got a notify on the KP 3090 after waiting since March. Decided to pass at this late stage though.

Oh and the hybrids all have a glycol mix of some kind. For corrosion and probably so they don't freeze easily during shipping. I've had my 3080ti FTW3 Hybrid core temp down to -4C at idle.

I don't get any cold days 2 quick runs last night , more just crashes

Oh cool, good to know, I will have to see if we get any more decently cold temps this winter. I somehow doubt it lol

to get you all back to earth, there are people (me) who received cards like this:

Ofc that is without 1000w bios and classified tool. Just straight +90core and +1700mem.
Just adding + to core with X1 or AB doenst help the card. I did not tweak a custom curve by now.
I'll hopefully get a HC kit soon, so I can test this card in my loop but for now the performance is kinda meh...

BTW. when I compare the result with my ftw3 I can see that the KPE had higher average core and mem but still has a 450 pts lower score:

So, is my KPE just straight up bad or is it missing the 1000w bios + classified tool to hit clocks higher than 2130mhz??

Currently I'm loving everything about this card but it's performance^^

Short answer....it's your OS. if you cant do 14100 to 14500 on stock no over clock...your OS has been hosed by Microsoft.

Agreed, even a 3080 ti can hit those numbers near stock.

So I'm back after weeks I feel the need to get some things straight.
After all it was the Card that was just a bad performer... I had to RMA the card due to firmware boot loop and I received a new card months ago (posted this in this thread already, I guess).
Anyways with new card was able to hit 15300pts in PR with the Hybrid cooler and 520w BIOS! No changes to the OS or other parts of my RIG....

Some KPE cards just s*ck!

Its good to see you got a better card this time.

There is a wide variation in VRAM overclocking ability of KP cards that can cause huge difference in Port Royal scores.  There is also a large variation in the actual GPU overclocking ability at the same voltage.  This is based on my multiple KP 3090 cards and having to do several RMAs.

For example, I've had KP 3090s that crash and artifact in almost every benchmark with a VRAM OC in PX1 of +1200 to +1250 and others that do +1400 to +1450 completely problem free in every graphics benchmark.  I haven't ever had a card that is stable at +1600 MHz VRAM OC in PX1 like some others have had.  I've seen videos posted online by other overclockers where they are doing +1600 to +1700 stable VRAM OC in Port Royal with the stock Hybrid cooler.

I've also had variations of 45 MHz in GPU speed at the same voltage between different KP 3090 cards.

John, when you say the OS is hosing the card, are you saying higher overclock offsets can be achieved in W11 vs W10? Or are you saying that the PR score is higher with the same offsets in W11 v W10?  If its the latter, ehhhhhh

Edit: My KPE card definitely doesn’t break 14k with stock offsets and stock voltage/dip switches but then again my ambient is 27-28C even in winter.  Ambient to peak coolant is only +7C with a silent fan profile.

I have a lot of temperature headroom if I got the 1000w bios and upped voltage.. but +0 offset and no voltage changes at 27C room temp?  No way.  13,7k hah.  Am I doing it wrong??
